One thing left out of the “Pam didn’t fail art school” theory that adds importance is that you don’t “find out” from your advisor that you are failing a class. You will know for a while that your grades are bad. I truly believe that she did not fail art school.
Pam also wore a Pratt Art School sweatshirt later in the series. Why would you wear the sweatshirt of a School you failed out of? Wouldn't that be a reminder of your failure?
i think that the reason Jan responded like that, is not that she kidnapped that girl, is most likely because she was kinda mad that she can’t sell more candles of her image, so she was bothered that she was found.
What I love about the theory of Pam/Meredith is that if you eliminate the sci-fi part, it's just good writing. The Office never shows too much information about personal lives of its characters, so to show Pam's future, the show reflects her character on another one, and that connection is done by making Pam and Roy the only characters to empathize with Jake, Meredith's son.
great comment! you're totally right, I never would have thought about this. I thought the theory was a stretch but when you put it this way it makes a lot of sense.
Mirror characters. A very good technique. The movie train to Busan uses this technique to great effect to many of the supporting cast to show the windows to the protagonist flaw and destiny if he choose the "wrong" or "right" path.
Pam didn’t fail art school. She found out she’d need to stay longer to make up one class which Jim supported her about. She then decided not to stay longer. She didn’t finish and left early, it’s not that she failed out.
Micheal being a secret genius was very apparent in Jim managing Everybodys Birthday episode. Atleast I think Micheal in casual pajamas almost was too normal for whole Office

I know the strangler theories are fun, but the guy they booked is the strangler. The whole “he might be innocent” arc kinda solidifies it. Toby goes to try to prove his innocence and gets strangled by the strangler. It gets kinda old all the theories because they all are absurdly speculative
Personally, I like to think that after Pam’s emotional breakdown during the beach episode, Jim finally stopped and thought about everything that was happening. There she was, putting herself out on the line, when she never really could do so before. That one moment was, to me what sparked it in Jim that she was finally ready and telling him she needed him. I also kinda hate the Pam/Meredith conspiracy. In the end you specifically hear Meredith talk about going to school and getting a degree, and how that was never shown because she was living her “college lifestyle” and the cameras preferred that narrative- which equals to the real world and how we only see what producers want you to see, the narrative can be flipped any way they choose. Imo, Meredith wasn’t entirely trash, she was just having the fun she once missed out on, and in true television style, the truth gets cut.
If you think that was an ‘emotional breakdown’ , I am inclined to believe your emotional intelligence is very limited. She was just being truthful and passionate about something. That was not a breakdown
@@wellthisisinteresting4912 emotional breakdowns vary from person to person. What seems extreme to you, may not be as extreme to me. That’s why personal perception is key when attempting to understand another persons point. To me, yeah that was an emotional breakdown. Because personally, that’s a breakdown of emotions.
I almost feel the pam is meridith one is more symbolic than literal if intentional I do feel Pam did do good at art school the only two bad things I remember her being told about art other than Roy doubt is the light and shadows on the Dunder mifflin painting of the building and saying she failed
I’ve always thought the Meredith is pam theory is metaphorical. It’s who she could have become. Also, I love the idea of Mose as the strangler. Imagine, a lone woman walking home at night, she is constantly looking over her shoulder. She sighs as she finally turns the corner. As she continues to walk here comes Mose around the corner doing his strange run and puts her in a headlock. As she passes out, he matter of factly says “goodnight” and runs away.
You left scranton and moved to the UK to avoid the cops, and you use your highly trained hands to strangle for fun and paint for youtube shekels. I'm onto you, you strangler!
Weird. What if Jan kidnapped the person, but then they just rejected her candles? Her motive would rely on either A) pure luck, or B) mind-control of everyone organizing the vigil to ensure that there would be candles at all, and that they'd choose hers, or C) the ability to perfectly predict the future state of the universe.
Make videos on each character of the office Popularity Secretes of the character Why you hate and love them What they should have been As they progress as seasons progress Then deep thoughts and final score Kind of a baseball card and stats of each office character
The reality show theory is kinda silly even if you only consider the in-universe logic. Everything that gets aired for a show is not everything that gets filmed. It's not like the crew just happened to be there only during the film-worthy antics. They were there for the full 8 or 9 hour workday plus some, every single workday, for ten years and only got 74.5 hours of film-worthy content (the total runtime of the series). They would've had way more if it was staged.
I always thought when Daryl said Bob Vance was buying the warehouse he was just teasing Michael. Daryl frequently pulls his leg for his own amusement ..
For the first theory I always assumed that Jan's reaction was because she was lying about them using her candles and she assumed the girl would not be found or would be found dead (hence the vigil) but the girl was found
I know this is probably just a collection of the theories you've already posted, but I'd love to see you do a video on this silly theory I read that honestly makes a lot of sense... Was hoping to hear the theory that the doc was actually supposed to be about Dwight but because Michael is such a camera hog that he took the limelight.

Jan definitely kidnapped those kids or paid someone to kidnap them, and then the kidnapper/s felt guilty and released her too early. She probably wanted to start doing that continuously that process of kidnapping kids for a while, then releasing them after they stop buying candles to make money and grow her business Regardless of her doing it herself or paying someone, she DEFINITELY did it, absolutely no questions about that

#1 Jan the kidnapper - Jan wasn't frazzled that they found the kidnap victim. She was pissed that her candles would no longer be required for a vigil.
