That 13-inch "below 1kg" is very compelling. I would actually have bought away right now if this unboxing showed how durable it is, like maybe backpack compression test, or dropping waist-height and then try turning it on. Still, would definitely buy the 14-inch carbon fiber weaved at my next paycheck.
Just got a brand new 7430 with i7 1270p from my company and I already regret it. Thermal management is horrible, HWInfo indicates thermal throttling. CPU is reaching 100°C without any particular workload...
It is a pity that the upper keys were removed from the touchpad, it is very convenient to use without moving your hands down from the keyboard, or when the laptop is lying on your knees or stomach. Is it possible to emulate these keys in the settings?
wondering if you have the same audio issue like i do with this 14 2 in 1 7430 laptop. if so, would greatly appreciate your input. when i have my laptop directly connected to external monitors via hdmi cable or have the screen extended to external monitors via a multi monitor adaptor, there's no audio output from my external hp monitor speakers unless i switch the default output from "usb audio device or hp monitor" speaker to the built in "realteck audio" speaker. likewise, i have to do that with the laptop screen extended and connected to an external web cam...... thank you in advance!
im unable to flip my screen to the backside of the laptop for the "tablet" mode. The bezels attaching the screen to the keyboard will not allow me to flip the laptop. It feels like I will break it if I try to flip the screen.
The Latitude 7430 is made in two versions, as a classic notebook and as a 2-in-1, depends on the display that has been purchased. The 2-in-1 has a gorilla glass covered glossy screen that allows active pen/stylus usage. So if you have a matte screen then you have a classic notebook with hinges that allow you to open the screen up to 180degrees. #iwork4dell
@Roman Czifery Thanks so much! I was trying to bend it passed 180 degrees but it wouldn't move either. I'm glad you clarified this for us! It felt like it would break if I tried to turn it more! Glad I didn't and found your comment!
@@VadimMarchenko It's not 100% accurate please have a look at the manual dl.dell.com/content/manual46425537-latitude-7430-setup-and-specifications.pdf?language=en-us&ps=true page 23 have all displays options. You can have matte up to 400 nits 100% sRGB.

Dell. My first love.
Latitude D610
Mine was D620. I loved that laptop.

Does it support Windows Hello?
Does 7000 series has matte screen option? It is must have for me.
Have you found if it has?
@@FranciscoBerkemeier it has for cheaper screen. But that screen has only 54% of sRGB. Kinda very bad for a £1700 laptop.

How this is different from 7420?
Newer CPU, slightly improved thermals? Not aware of much else. Both of them are disappointing for their price tag.
Thank you for sharing.
Nicely explained
Amazing I wish dell gifts 🎁 this laptop to me 😢
DELL is stealing parts from computers. I am a victim of 64 Gb or RAM disappearing from my laptop (while in repair).
