They do get stolen. As a DSP, I know they get stolen as I get in trouble every time they are stolen. It's now the drivers fault (even if it is out of sight from the road, the customer is notified. All the customer has to do is say they didn't get it (even if they did) and we get in trouble.

I got caught in that scam with an eBay seller that was drop shipping from Amazon. Their listed shipper was a fake shipper "Aquiline" to get around eBay rules. But, they provided a USPS tracking when I filed a claim. Good news is USPS had a picture of the label and neither my name nor my address were on the label. Took a bit to get eBay to contact the USPS investigator
but, in the end, I got my money back! Now I know this is not Amazon but these scammers are using Amazon and eBay to run this scam.

    As an amazon CSA,
This video is an excellent resource explaining our policy!
    Just a couple of things,
    1. Before an a to a is filed there has to be 48 hours of no communication from the customer to the seller. Sending a hundred emails daily only delays the process. 48 hours after the last email sent they did not respond is the first criteria for an a to z negligent seller claim
    2. If a police report is required that indicates a customer who has abused our “system of trust” I e history of missing packages or non delivered packages. We will process that refund or replacement without question until a history develops and the. It moves into the more documentation required to prove a missing package Be honest and do not get on that list as it is a pain
Other than that. Awesome job, especially the matching the weight of the package versus the hat was ordered. 🎉

Personally I will never use Amazon again! They sent me an email offer of 30 days of free prime to try it with no way to opt out. Then after the thirty days they just started billing me for Prime. BTW, I never even used the trial, NOT ONCE! It took a good bit of back and forth before they refunded the money. I've been buying from Amazon for over 15 years and they have been excellent in handling any problem that has arisen. Not many items were damaged or seemingly stolen, but when it did happen a few times they were courteous and easy to work with. The tips about what to look for when dealing with third party sellers were really great because not everyone would think of doing this.

Amazon drivers used to leave other people's deliveries in our driveway because the street ends at our house and the map app they used showed the street continuing to go thru to the next neighborhood. One day a notebook computer was left so I took the time and drove to the right address and when I knocked on the door a guy opened it with a little girl behind him crying her eyes out because they received notice that their pkg was lost. Was great to do them a favor and when I got home I called Amazon notifying them that I delivered the pkg, then told them to knock off leaving stuff at my house, so they started leaving stuff at my neighbor's place😖

So far (several years now), Amazon has been pretty easy to deal with in the few cases where a delivery went poorly. Most recent was a lawn mower where the 3rd party (Fleet Tool) actually put the right model number on the shipping label but perversely put that shipping label on a wholly different product (a pole saw). Took 3 calls to Amazon customer service to get a prepaid label for the return and several days to get the refund (Amazon points) processed, but it got done, and everything within Amazon's control was done well and promptly. A bit less impressed with Fleet.

I live in Australia and we don't have Amazon delivery here. Only third party and often these use sub-contractors. Took me 4 months to get a refund and ended getting it from the seller. Amazon said it was delivered. After investigation, when Amazon said it was delivered it means delivered to an Australian Port. Once at the port a courier is contracted to pick it up and take it too their warehouse. It is then contracted out again to be delivered. In my case it was picked up at the Port of Melbourne, to the warehouse, then taken to Sydney. It then changed couriers to the Sunshine coast (Queensland) and then to Toowoomba (my city). It then change courier again to be delivered but never arrived. They traced it to Sydney where they think it was lost between Sydney and the Sunshine Coast even though tracking said it was in Toowoomba. I rarely use Amazon as it's too expensive, very limited selection compared to E-Bay and hard to get a refund.

Good tips Liron! I know many will be quick to call the card company for a refund but as you pointed out that should be a last resort. Fortunately, I have been lucky with Amazon deliveries, but one of my coworkers in IT ordered a brand new Intel 13900K top of the line processor, which retailed for about $600 at the time via Amazon. It was a third party seller that was fulfilled by Amazon. Amazingly, when he got the box it was EMPTY! It just had packing peanuts, that's it! The box was super light and the declared weight was too light for it to be an Intel processor. So, he called Amazon, who actually made the packing error, and they refunded the card. He then ordered the processor elsewhere, I think on ebay.

Something allot don’t know. All food items automatically are non refundable but it doesn’t mean you are out of luck if you get something you absolutely hate. Contact Amazon and explain what the issue is and they will refund you and tell you to do what you want with the item. I’m sure people try and take advantage of this situation but Amazon prefers good customer service over dishonest customers. One time I ordered sugar free red vines and they accidentally sent regular licorice that I don’t like. I like the strawberry flavor. At first I thought I was out of luck because it said non returnable but I contacted Amazon they sent a replacement and said I can do whatever I want with the wrong item. Another time I bought these low carb wraps that were absolutely disgusting 🤢 and Amazon refunded me after I contacted them and said give them away or do what I want. They went in the trash as I wouldn’t feed them to a dog 😂😂

Set the Americans straight! It is "Zet" not "Zee" haha. I am amazed at the process there where home delivery does not go hand to hand. Here in SA we have either direct hand-hand or the lockers to get your package. Sometimes even the hand to hand requires a pin they send you to provide before they hand it over.
Shows how big the business is when they can carry all those losses. Well, we probably pay in the end, but it still amazes me.

yeah that blew my mind when I moved here from Joburg. They just leave the package by the door (most homes don't have any fences/ walls/) and then most of the time the package is still there hours later. This would never ever work in SA.

The reason I'm asking you to do this is it's one thing to get a cold call but when the person calling you know your full name and from the conversation I imagine even know my address. Thanks again for the brilliant work you do
