Well we learned in this video that the 850 should have been RWD from the factory. At least they partially remedied the issue by making the V70R AWD. Props to Liam for getting us brick fans a victory.
Found that out myself just a few days ago. My most recent fh5 video showcases the red leader, as Laddo once called it, in the form of a rwd 850r I love it as a rwd.
The battle on race 3 lap 5 between Longbow, Blakey, Alex and an ever peeking Dangerman was really intense. It would be great seeing a compilation video of such battles this year.
Interesting set of races. If you did this again, I'd suggest you change things a little bit. For the FWD race, build to whatever your specified PI target is. Then, for subsequent races, just change the driveline and adjust the gear ratios - resulting PI points be damned. I think that would make it much more of a fair fight, with the differences between races just coming from how the different chassis handle the different drivelines.
I would have built to A/800 as FWD and then ONLY done driveline swaps and gearing, let the PI fall where it may and that would show the difference of the driveline rather than 3 totally different builds on each chassis. Control the variables.
I should have won this. I let the car down big time in race 1, race 2 the car didn't work. Race 3 was very frustrating as I feel I had the quickest car. I let the integra down big time really.
When I do AWD conversions I usually adjust the power distribution to make the car almost entirely RWD. Just enough power to the front wheels to keep the rear from spinning at the start and get the rear to just have just a smidge of power oversteer in corners to get it rotating better but not go drifting
Speaking of AWD conversions. A mate is transplanting the drivetrain from a VW Golf R into his VW Sirocco. It's going to be mad when it's done. He's had it physically and mechanically mounted for a while just having some issues with getting it working. Making a wire loom and having it talk to the rest of the car basically. Mechanically it's basically automotive Lego tho
Got an idea for Forza, Christmas secret Santa, each player makes a car for another player using any car in the game but the one challenge all tires have to be on racing tires . :)
I'd like to be able to change the engine position as well. A Honda CRX with a FR setup is very twitchy and has too little weight over the driven wheels. But an MR setup would be very interesting. I've seen one that basically just took the engine, gearbox and front suspension from another Civic and mounted it in the trunk. That would be really cool in the game
I once heard of a V8 RWD swapped Chrysler Pacifica. Not sure the legitimacy, but it allegedly was a stunt car and had the whole rear axle swapped out with a trophy truck axle.
If anyone's curious as too how much work goes into an AWD swap, check out Project Binky. This was a cracking episode though, I loved how BTCC some of the cars looked. Special shoutout to Longbow's Integra too because now Im peckish!
Project Binky is not even close to done so it's not a good example. Their last update was 7 months ago and they have been working on that car for almost 10 years. PFI speed swapped a Civic to AWD in 3 months.
@@c0c0asauce there's a big difference between taking parts from a factory AWD honda and bolting them into a civic and shoehorning the engine and running gear from a toyota celica gt4 into a classic mini
think you did wrong with buting areo on the car, but can totaly be wrong. i normaly never but areo on my cars in forza horizon 5 fell like they kill to much speed

many of the older volvo station wagons are rwd from factory
Despite proposing the idea, I hated the car and every race it was in xD

Too bad i had to go to a Doc appointment in the middle of this. I really liked the R.26R.

I've not had a good session - I got disconnected two times and in the final race just completely lost the back end
Love the commentary Alex, always on point, glad to see the FR shenani-goons come together for a technically intense jaunt through the countryside😏

You should do a lemon race, essentially a race where the vehicles are in various states of damage randomized by a mod.

I built a rally car with my Sentra, turned out brilliant. One of my favorite rally tunes I've done.

Alex starts at front and leads comfortably = fast forward to next race.
always a good day when failrace released a video
I nearly bought one of those 205 Rallye cars in banana yellow. It lacked any creature comforts in the interior so decided against it

the Mini was not designed for this ._.
Alternate title :NottaAudi Driveline
Someone should untap the hidden potential of left wheel drive.
Bro.. can you do more of hunt the servivers !!
I am waiting for soo long .. I wish you do more videos with your friends.
Just stopped writing my essay to watch this
Hey Failrace if you see a orange corvette C8 on forza horizon 5 with a license plate that says Russ23R that is me

Yeah the downsides always seem to outweigh the tiny benefits.
You spend more time on the brakes than the throttle... you honestly slow down far too much.
