I also heard a lot of doom posting about Dehya prior to her release from a Discord chat I'm part of. Didn't stopped me from going hard on C1 and her weapon during her release. Because the function of a Pyro DPS is overshadowed by a tanned gal who throws caution out of the window and throws hands harder than Sol mains in Strive mashing during block strings.
I enjoy using dehya in the theater troupe abyss. It's very fun to have her punch things. And to think I only got her because she was the only 5 star general summon unit I was missing
I had a feeling that Dehya was meant to be a Burgeon-based character, but Hoyo changed their minds at the last minute and made her into some weird Defense-Offense hybrid that would work way better for any of Hoyo's other games. Like Nilou, she reduces damage from the bloom reaction. Dehya has self-healing so you never have to worry about healing her yourself. Her pyro application is just slow and infrequent enough to be perfect for burgeon reactions. Her ultimate feels like the only outlier, but you can easily incorporate it into her kit by having her do bonus damage based on how much damage she mitigated from Burgeon. And when you think about it, we still don't have a "Burgeon character" a whole two years after the reaction was introduced. Yeah, we have characters like Thoma and Klee that can Burgeon well, but they were clearly not designed for it in mind.
My main problem with Dehya is that her ult feels terrible to use. Even if she didn't take ludicrous amounts of work to make decent, she'd still just feel bad. I really wish they'd remake her entirely, but that will probably never happen.
Ngl, I think this video might be an even bigger cope than running a Eula team in this day and age, if only slightly, and that's coming from a Eula main myself (literally the only C6 5-star I have). Biggest difference is that, while it's very debatable how much of the dmg is coming from Dehya, Eula is the one doing the actual dmg in her comp. That said, least you're honest in where Dehya stands as a unit in the game.
Yeah but... Furina buff is massive even if you aren't vaporizing. EM wouldn't hurt but I don't think he's going for that, she doesn't have the single big hits that really drive vape teams.
If you know your shit, you would know it isn't coping unless it's raw c0 Dehya, the more cons you have on her the less coping there is, at C4 that coping is pretty much gone.

Dehya is already great from day one and C0 tho, Build her with EM in overburgeon team, Kokomi Nahida Dehya Kuki and you'll see numbers, many of them.
