Thanks for tips. I would love you to do some more videos specific to longarm. Any helpful tips or tricks you’ve learned. I love the way you teach and explain things.

Thank you! I have been on the hunt for Free Motion quilting tutorials (learning my Amara) that are strictly free motion and not computerized.

I'm still waiting for my ruler base for my long arm. I did try some of your tips on my domestic .

I have been trying to learn how to use our donated long arm machine at our church. Thank goodness for You Tube! Tutorials taught me how to thread and oil it and how to get started. I bought a couple rulers to get a bit more control. A problem I have is that there is no stitch regulator. So I get a lot of thread "build up" on the back when I stop each time. I have tried different speeds and consciously try to turn off the button when I know I am approaching a stop. It only has a start and stop button. There is no "one stitch" button or basting options. I struggle with the stops and thread build up. Any suggestions? I so appreciated your explanation of difficulty moving diagonal on a long arm. It made so much sense! I wobble even with a ruler!

I find that the ruler base shortens my useable quilting space on my Little Foot frame, especially near the edges. I actually use my rulers without the base just fine.

On my Simply Sixteen I've checked that and the ruler base doesn't extend any further than the carriage tracks so makes no difference sideways. There might be a fraction extra length but not enough to be significant in my view.
