Wow that is an amazing Cedar Corin, I think the right choice was made for the front, you would have kept seeing the scar on the underside of the branch, after you pruned and wired it, looks great in the new pot.
I'd be tempted to get rid of the middle branch going up from the cascade arm at about 45deg, it gives a strange double apex. I think the tree would flow better from the upright trunk toward the cascade. I would find a way of disguising the damage on the cascade branch. Agree it looks better with the cascade to the right side. Nice tree though, loads of potential IMHO.
It's nice to hear your thought process and how you judge the good points and bad in coming to your conclusion, very informative, thank you Corin.
the doggies always helping
Well explain so much thought goes into the things you do.

I think the cedar turned out well. Beautiful tree with an impressive future; well done!
Thank you very much!

Very impressed 👍😁
Lovely doggies.
Haha, you went on to do exactly what I thought was best.
It's a tough life, but somebody has to do it !😹
Lovely Cascade...it always amazes me how much foliage you remove!
When is the best time to prune/wire a juniper cascade?
Corin, what's up? missing you? When are you planning on doing a video on defoliating a Florida red maple?
Nothing up, busy, out Autumn open weekend this weekend, getting trees ready for exhibition, look out for the video of it !
🥰🥰
👍👌🙂
The back is the front .carve the wright hand branch double apex for power .however its not tree but I would be tempted to do so . Still a nice tree 👍
I’m m going to grow it for 2-3 years and see how it develops once I have more foliage
Can we swap jobs!! It looks so chilled at the Nursery

Hi Yugi and Cleo 🐶🪴
Taille des racines et des branches en meme temps ?!
That's how to repot, no point taking its roots off and leave it to fight saving its foliage?
Yes of course, that’s the best way to do it. Trimming branches off means less pull on the roots
