Glad you're back! I am wanting to put a custom closet in my walk-in closet. I need to figure out what I need as far as drawers and hanging space. But, this gave me some ideas to work with. Thanks!

He replied as I had the same question... "How did you attach the cabinets to the wall? ZEM Construction · @ZEMConstruction 4 days ago Proper way would be to use L brackets and screw into the top shelf and into the studs. I just used a pre drill bit and toenailed the top with a long screw into the studs in a couple of spots. This system is designed to sit on a toe kick. If this were a hanging type design and better fastening system would be needed.'
I have read in a few places that melamine should not be screwed together as the core of the board isn't stable enough and that in time the screws can work themselves loose.
What wood do I need exactly? I've been mapping out and almost obsessing over building my closet. Went to look at supplies and became overwhelmed about the wood. What kinds do I need?
