the shot of mel's armor as her mother says "you must learn to be both the fox AND the wolf." so so good, emphasizing how she will be the fox -- voting for peace, for diplomacy -- but will also be prepared -- ready for attack and protecting herself if needed. such a phenomenal video, i keep rewatching it.
I love all the obvious and not so obvious allusions here but I think the contrast between Jinx saying "Maybe you could love me like you used to" with a child Vi lashing out at her was my favorite, because it made me realize that Jinx's cause was always hopeless. She wanted Vi the ideal, not Vi the person, and couldn't accept that the Vi that hurt her and the Vi that loved her were the same. Jinx was looking for an ideal person whose love would fix her, but she was never going to find that because she couldn't accept herself, her true, complete self, as a person worthy of love. She could never accept herself as both Powder and Jinx so she tried to cut herself in half, to be Jinx for Silco and Powder for Vi, and lost them both to the parts of herself that she tried to push away.
Vi kept looking at Jinx as Powder and not as who she was. Jinx didn't want to be fixed she wanted to be good enough as who she was. That is what Silco gave her. That's what people tend to do.... only look at them for who they think they are and not who they actually are

every time i listen to this song, i just see this amv. i dont know what it is, but something about the craft and timing has imprinted multiple scenes and lyrics together (the stars, the moon...) in such a way that that's all i can think about when listening to it.

I posted this video on my birthday last year, I was traveling and away from friends and family so creating this was kind of a little present to myself that I got to share with lots of people. The fact that you rewatch is so cool bc I do the same with so many amvs/edits out there that I like, I really appreciate hearing comments like this. Arcane has formed a great community, hopefully there won't be a much longer wait to season 2 :P

I watched ARCANE and I had never played the game before, but now I do. League of Legends is an online multi-player where two teams of five fight against each other. The champions you choose to play as have lore / backstories but it isn't a story-based game in itself. ARCANE is kind of like a prequel and right now it only focuses on a few characters whereas League has 150+ champions. You're not missing anything, but if you have friends to play with League is definitely fun! If you're only interested in the lore, I would suggest listening to the podcast League of Loreheads, they are currently going through each champion individually and cover pretty much all there is to know.

I never got the game; I probably will now. I think I have watched his AVM at least 10 times. Probably more since I use the music to write. So, more like; 40+ times?
