I did the same thing, goes to launch, it launches to the logo as it does when you launch the game but it just closes it's self, I have deleted the files like you, uninstalled the game, restarted my Laptop, fresh install, played the game and stuff, and downloaded the mod. so I don't why my game is doing this. this is annoying. I don't want to play DarthMod want to try this mod..
When I play the empire 2, When in a battle. I cant see the range of my units. I have no idea how far they can shoot. Yes does say range on unit card but doesnt show the range on the battlefield. Can anyone help me with this?
So uh I don’t know if I managed to get it or if I messed up. I tried installing it to where the game is installed(External Drive, not the main one) and it created another Total war empire folder inside the main directory folder. I go to run the game through steam and it crashes upon startup, I click on the one that made the separate folder and it works perfectly. So yea I don’t know if I messed up or not. Please help
@@KeepitFrosty1 What happens is, it makes another folder inside the main game directory folder with a separate game icon for me to load. Then it works when clicking on that icon instead of the one that steam gives you, just have to click on the right icon otherwise it will crash upon startup. I’m new to modding steam games so when it did that I didn’t know if I did it correctly or not
@@Mkeluci ok well technically no , you should be able to start it from steam , but if it works fine for you bro use it that way lol . create a short cut on the desk top and use that . It must be installed correctly if it is working . That a mad one lol
Ha! Thank god I found your comment. Game kept crashing on startup. The steam launcher icon. Indeed, I went into browse files and launched it from within the Empire folder where the mod went into. And now it has booted up successfully! @KeepitFrosty1 thanks for your videos. I'd definitely have this solution as a wee footnote for addition, as it appears this startup problem was cam be an issue
that's strange try another zip site there is a few out there just type in 7 zip free download and try a few in the past i have downloaded it from a few different placeless but never had that problem . You must have better anti vires than me lol
@KeepitFrosty1 that's what it keeps saying. Strangely I compressed it into a zip and then extracted it and it downloaded. Then my Empire game automatically redownloaded when I opened steam up, but when I launched it it was just the original game... I'll have another go at it
@@haydenpardoe7 that is strange, i wish i could help more but without actually seeing what your doing its hard. Just keep at it you will do it , it will end up being something stupid.

Thanks mate glad you liked it . I think I has to do with the goole files . I have to download the game again soon as I am starting a playthrough I will try and install it that way if manage it I will make a video for you bro .
@@KeepitFrosty1 Cheers mate. I actually managed to install them. Its not too hard, just drag and drop into the Empire 2 file and replace any files it recommends.
@@KeepitFrosty1 they dont let anyone talk on their discord, but i think i figured it out, i think it's cause i would extract it to a sub folder in the empire total war folder, and the installer deletes it all before it can install it
I downloaded the mod with 112 gb for free now when it comes to the last part to be able to use the mod it says I only have 32 mil mb available and it needs 62 if I wish to continue I say yes then in the middle it says I don’t have enough storage I skip and continue anyway then it says it again multiple times then it finishes when I try downloading it it says downloading content and it says error
I have Total war Definitive edition of empire and that is 16.12 gb the mod is 60 gb it says that on the modlib page . So all together it should be around 72 gb that including the game . Check your file storage because if you have 112 gb free that should be plenty .
@@KeepitFrosty1right now I’m at the stage of downloading the ETW2 full 4.4.6 rar now my question is that alone is 20 GB after I download it and extract it thru the zip app am I supposed to download the rar zip file since it occupies 20 gb more of space or?
@@KeepitFrosty1 by the way what are the google drive files for? i was on the discord and people mentioned some google drive files but i cant remember what they were for. im just asking because you didnt mention any google drive files
doesnt work for me either, followed step by step as well did the process at least 5 times, appreciate it though i feel like you're the only guy giving tutorials on this mod
UPDATE: I DID IT, AFTER 5 HARD MONTHS OF TRYING IT I FINALLY DID IT, (still dont know what the original issue was but i followed the steps differently each time and the final try i was going to do finally worked)

Hey mate I was having the same issue with it instantly crashing when trying to start up. You need to go to C:\Users\(Your account name)\AppData\Roaming\The Creative Assembly" and delete the "Empire" folder. If you want to keep any save games make sure you copy them to another folder. If that doesn't work go to "C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common" and delete that too. Hope this works for you!
@ I have looked for any and all issues, dont really totally know what to look for tho since the only TW i have mods on is Napoleon. Tried this first time on ETW cuz the mod seems cool.

You forgot to mention that you have to run the Empire.exe inside the modded folder, thats where I have to run the game from not Steam.

Cant get it to work and when i use your link and the official website my pc thinks 7 zip is a virus and cant extract the files with out it

Sorry for late reply Internet was shut off due to a storm . Try turning your anti virus off while downloading the mod .

when i install the mod it says it wants to delete some files for a clean install
OK well make sure you are doing a clean uninstall and reinstall like in video for best results .

Is this after you have done a fresh install ? is it the un modded version of the game that isn't loading ?
@@KeepitFrosty1 fresh install is opening up bur not the modded, it shows like he first bit but then shuts down right before loading screen.
