It’s to the point where you’re just better off. Booking a hotel. I think Airbnb has run its course. It’s not cheaper anymore. It’s not easier.
I’ve noticed that over the years-not cheaper than hotels anymore.
You’re right! I try to stay at same hotel chain wherever I go to create points as a saving.
I tried Airbnb once. It was a while ago so it was cheaper than a hotel. I still hated it and never did it again. Not worth it even when it was cheaper, imho.
Airbnb is part of the reason rent is so high so no thanks

I would never use a Airbnb. I truly don't think they should even exist.
Always check ratings!! Make sure there are 20+ reviews at least and not fake accounts.

Air BNB has been enshittified!
I’m done using Air BnB. With all the added fees, it’s almost as much as a hotel room. My son booked an Air BnBin Detroit and when he got there, it was so sketchy - plus there was an eviction notice on the door. He ended up going to a hotel.
He stayed in Detroit and _didn’t_ think it’d be stretchy?! 😂

I booked hotel over Airbnb for my Boston trip. Hotels were cheaper and offered free breakfast. Airbnb is ridiculously expensive.
Yeah, I don't trust AirBnB at all. I guess I was lucky - all I had to do to see the eclipse was look out my window. I live in Texas.

Strange, isn’t it. Maybe has to do with the cancellation policy. Some host have strict policies and only give partial refunds. The contract is with the host not AirB&B. Though their website says they will issue a refund in this kind of situation so 🤷🏼♀️
It isn't true. I've been on Airbnb as a guest for many years and the moment you cancel the money goes directly back to you the guest.

This is probably supported by the hotel industry. Ive run an airbnb for 2.5 years and its great for guests and hosts.

I am an Airbnb/Vrbo host going on 8 years. To read comments where people urge not to use Airbnb/Vrbo is ridiculous. What happened here is so rare, there are millions of top notch hosts offering top notch, beautiful, spotless places such as myself

We have a huge family plus dogs so staying in hotels is out of the question for us. We’ve rented probably 10-15 places over the years, never once been done dirty on Airbnb or VRBO. I get people being mad at developers buying up neighborhoods, that is scummy, but we pick owner/operators and they’ve always been so accommodating.
People forget that we live in a world full of scammers and that for every bad story we hear (because those get clicks) there are 100 boring stories about everything working out as expected
AirBB is as much as a hotel now. No need to get AirBB anymore.
@@TOMVUTHEPIMP Hotels don't have 3 separate bedrooms, a living room, a full kitchen, dinning room, office, private parking, or like mine a 1 car garage, front and back deck with a BBQ grill, and nice seating.

And yet the conditions for viewing the eclipse in Cape Vincent were outstanding and in a beautiful open recreational park and I shared the 4 + acres with a family of 4 and 2 West Highland Terriers (They were with me) No Crowds and no Traffic!
Austin is so overrated, just another stinky city like any other stinky city.
