I am installing it myself. What I am going to do is I’m going to get this 4 x 4 bracket flip it over and screw it to my 4 x 4 lumber.. then I’m going to get the light with with the spacers in it and leave the spacers in it so there’s no wiggle room, leaving the spacers in it, putting the light down onto the 4 x 4 and then just drilling too small screws right through the plastic to the 4 x 4.
Hi Ray, Nice job on your video and clean solution. I don't have these, but am considering getting some. I downloaded the instruction sheet, and it is a little vague, but it shows: "Step 5 Attach bracket to post using screws included in package". With that thought in mind, could you turn the 4x4 bracket upside down and attach to a flat cut-off 4x4 post with the 2 screws? Then clip the fixture to the bracket? I have no idea how the light fixture attaches, so I'm just guessing it take some squeezing on the lenses or sides of the fixture that makes it snap in place. Any 2 year review comments?
These didn't last long. What a huge waste of money! Thanks for checking out the video. I appreciate your kind words. The best fix was to throw these in the trash and buy another brand...lol.
Got the 4 in Solar Led post caps and they don’t fit my 4x4 post sleeves . I can comprehend how they wouldn’t have a legitimate fix for this situation.

Terrible purchase...lol. Hope yours were better than mine.
We needed to screw it in. We could not do it the way we planned.
Good idea, thanks.

How did this turn out. I’m realizing those spacers are not very good. Thought I got burned buying mine on eBay. They don’t fit a standard 4x4 at all.
I’ve tried to think of every possible reason they would design these like this. It’s just terrible. All it has to do is fit a 3.5x3x5in post! Whyyy?!?

What if it gets broken?
Tell me about it!
