I am a roofer and we only ever use velux ,some top hung windows don't have the centre pivot on them and when you come across them ones you won't find a way to get the glass out, unless they have changed now. Also how come we can get a £25 box of screws and it includes the correct bit to fit the screws in the box and then you can buy a £800 velux window and the only extra you will get is a couple of extra screws, put a t20 star bit in with the screws
Hi Rob, the part showing you how to disengage this spring is here. ua-cam.com/video/AC6dHoA-clk/v-deo.html The same principle works if the window is on the ground. I hope this helps. Let us know if you have any other questions.
Great Thanks from France! Your video saved me 😀

Thnx mate very handy vid
Brilliant but it’s a swivel window not top hung. Worth renaming your video?
It's a GPL window - the mid-swing is for cleaning. I got confused too - I think part 3 or 4 explains it better.
Where's the video to disengage spring?

This is not a top-hung window...
Hi Thierry, please fast forward to part 4 and you will see that although it looks like a Centre-Pivot window it is intact a Top Hung Velux.
