Excellent tutorial! I love the sound of this song.
At some point all guitar players plateau - due to work, lack of motivation, or some other reason. Thanks to Shutup & Play for getting me past another creative lull and back playing again!
Yea man...I took my girlfriend at the time last year to see him solo in a small club. One man F'n show for sure!!! Hes always been one of my favorite players...much under appreciated IMHO. Just can't speak of the greats without mentioning him. Those opening lines on the "Dreams" track are some of the tastiest of all time. I figured this one by ear awhile back and looks like I had it mostly right. Your a great player man...and you've got a lot of tunes on here that I've always wanted to learn. Diggin your channel :)
XHuntinatorX Yeah LB is an under appreciated talent. He's a real artist. I've always loved his work. Hey bud, I'm glad you're diggin' the channel and thanks for watching.
LB is a genius on this one and you are a scholar! Glad that FM did this one on The Dance b/c it's better than his solo version, IMO. Thanks for another stellar upload.
What a great tutorial! very well explained and beautifully played by yourself…. flawless.
I'm not a finger picker but I've been playing many years. I so appreciate your helping me to use my fingers more. Great video and good teaching technique. Thanks.
Nice job. I am having the hardest time getting that picking sequence down. I've known the chords for years, but for some reason am having a wicked time with the picking. GREAT JOB by the way! You have some talent ! Thank you!
Yet another great lesson. Have to say I'm really glad I've found your channel.
Hey John, good to hear bro, glad you're enjoying the vids.
Great video man...one of my all time favorite songs, by my favorite guitarist. EPIC. Thanks for posting.
Great lesson! You really broke it down and slowed it down perfectly. Camera angles were also very effective in enabling us to see what your fingers are doing. Thanks so much for providing this instruction!
WOW !!! You make it look soooo simple... It’s not.... You sir are not the average joe... thank you🙏
Gorgeous song! Similar to Silent Lucidity. Thanks for always teaching us our dream tunes Andy! You are a master player and teacher!
Extremely helpful, thanks for your attention to detail and your effective breakdown of the song in segments.
That picking pattern will make this a bit of a challenge but I'm determined to learn to play this. Thanks for the insight and easy to follow lesson! You Da Man!
thank you so much. Love this song and am so happy to know how to play it!
Thanks man for this. I was learning never going back again and found this. Hadnt heard this song.I dont know how this song got passed me. Anyway, its lot easier than never going back again. THanks
Great lesson, yes agree one of Fleetwood Macs greats
Great song. Thanks so much
Andy : I have this same exact acoustic. A 1977 Ovation wohsc. It was made in Sept. 1977 I was 14.
Excellent tutorial on a great Lindsey B tune. Thanks
Rich Buchmann Thanks Rich.
What a beautiful song...
Great lesson as always ! :)
Thank you very much for sharing your knowledge. Well done on the presentation as well. You're a natural teacher.
Cheers
splukoes Thankyou!
Hi professor! I wanna ask you something. Could you please make a lesson about Peacekeeper by Fleetwood Mac? I know that you like Buckingham's guitar work and I loved it too. Here in web I found nothing about this music, I think it's a great piece from Lindsey and has some nices Licks. Thank you very much.
You're playing my exact Ovation (I think). Of all my guitars it is still my favorite one. Good work
The GOAT
Thanks for the quick lesson! BTW...Love that Ovation Balladeer. I have the exact same guitar.
Scott Campagnolo Thanks for watching Scott.
Another fine lesson sir. Thanks!!
Great lesson thank you, looking forward to working through it.
Excelente trabajo, un abrazo desde Chile.
L B You R Sooo Great 💓😘. God Bless You Always 😀
Thank you for this lesson!
Elixers are the way to go
Beautiful..just beautiful intro. A song for the girlfriend.
Thank you again!
I can't seem to get the lick into the chorus part at the 7.22 mark. I can play that part on its own, but when tied in with the rest of the song I can't seem to get it to sound like you. Is that wee lick at 7 minutes and 22 seconds played once or twice before repeating the main part?
Cambo9929 i realize this is 2 yrs later, but i was having the same issue so ill take a stab at it for anyone new whos trying to figure it out. when he plays it fast he doesn't play the part the way he shows it. he play the A chord to start and plays T, 1,2, then lifts finger off of the b string plays T, 1,2, T, 1.
Love your version, but I cannot find the corresponding tab of this song on your website, do you have a tab of how you are playing it in this video ? Thank you!!
Hard enough to play without having to sing as well. Love this guitar's sound. What guitar is that?
thanks for hte clip bro, i put the guitar down for a year or more and now im kicking myself, this is psycho to learn when your left handed staring at a mirror LOL
Very nice playing and instruction; saw your G Moore stuff too, superb. BTW 009s or 010s on your gtr?
Hey Kawika thanks a lot bud. I hope you're getting something out of the vids. As for strings I use 9-46 Elixers, love that brand, they last SO long!
Struggling a bit with this rif just wondering if the strings are retuned somewhat. I realise it is key of A
Very pretty song. Try to keep both hands in camera frame, but overall good lesson. Very few out there for this song, not sure why.
Nice work! Can you make a Guitar Lesson with Lindsey Buckinghams "Trouble"?
Hey Mads, Trouble is one of my all time favorite songs, so maybe I'll have to look into it!
And Go Insane! :-D
This is a great tutorial. Im wondering, is your right hand resting on the bridge or are you floating it? Im having difficulty with comfortable placement of my hand.
Very nice to hear a US tutorial that gets to the point and shows what you need to see clearly and simply without procrastinating about his life story first! Excellent tutorial thank you!
One question, do you never use the C (c# position) before the C# (D) in the run up bass line if you know what I mean?
Great tutorial! Once I've got it right please can you teach me to sing it like LB....Gulp!
deepdiver51 Thanks! I can't sing a lick man!
Hi there - love your work and all the great tutorials. Thanks for the hard work in putting this all together!
This tutorial is probably about to go through the roof as the song's just featured on Roadies in the opening credits - so a quick Shazam and here I am!!
I've got the basic riff sorted thanks, but the strumming bit gets a bit difficult to work out from your playing. Are you able to put here what the actual chords are please? Or alternatively finger placement on each chord?
Thanks in advance for your help with this.
Cheers. Frankie_Knuckls

Great lesson thanks, always find your videos extremely helpful. How are you recording your guitar in this? Are you plugged in or?
+Dan Baghban Thanks Dan, I used a Zoom H2 mic for this.
Awesome tutorial thanks.Just confirming whole guitar tuned down half step?
Chris Coles Thanks Chris, yes, one half step.
Could anyone tab out the end of that chorus part as i just can seem to figure out how it links in. does;t sound like the explanation has enough notes in it and i can't get it.
On your strumming hand, are you using your pinky to rest on the guitar or is your hand basically loose ?
What Tuning is he using?
So difficult to play. How did Lindsay even have the patience to writing a masterpiece like this?
Sick as fuuuuuck
explicit tuning by string please anyone?
11:49
What key is this in???
So you're tuning the whole guitar down a half step?
Jeff Stanley Hey Jeff, yep drop it down a half step. Thanks for watching bro.
Thanks for the lesson, but it drove me nuts until I printed out the guitar tab & realized that the dropping of the pinky on the second chord actually takes place on the last note of the 1st chord. was too busy learning the picking pattern to "pick up" on that...
ratsafrakin This is a very tricky tune to play. Thanks for watching bro.
What's the name of that guitar
Hey Colin, it's an Ovation Balladeer. cheers
Andy
