I feel like the states in your games were different on each phone, so the processor is not loading the exact same thing. For example, if I have already played a game and gone through the tutorial, when I load the game it will load from my last save, instead of having to load the tutorial(which might be a bit havier). This makes it so we are not comparing apples to apples(lol) Maybe a better example would be install and then load the game(without using the game prior) on both phones. Very good video tho.
I'd be interested to see both brand new and then two months down the road because I've noticed with Snapdragon and I've had tons of them that after a couple months they start running sloppy
I have 4 yrs old redmi devuce with snqp 632. and it's as smooth as it was in start and never heats. unlike tensor chips which get over 50 easily after a year.
The sd 888 may be slightly faster but no chip even not the A15 bionic can match the tensor' s AI and ML algorithms and that is what the chip is made for and not to quickly open the applications though it's not far behind in this case too
Apple didn't design their chip like that , Apple designed their chip for recording videos , Google designed their chip for AI and well Qualcomm designs their chips for money

Pretty much what I expected, slightly less cpu speed and less GPU power compared to sd888. Google said that tensor was not a benchmark king at their keynote and that they focused on Ai/ Machine learning. I'm ok with this though a new level of performance in cpu matching apple would have been nice bragging rights. As with past pixels, google will continue to optimize and get more out of the hardware. My current pixel 4xl has only gotten better over the years with updates not slower like some other android phones. personally I'd take the pixel 6 over the samsung. Actually I have a pixel 6 pro ordered so yeah.
I'm pretty sure the Mali gpu is better than the adreno gpu in the s21 ultra though so games like genshin or pubg not having fully unlocked ultra high graphics mode just means the game is not optimized for the Pixel 6 yet being that's its an entirely new cpu.
Remember the devices will be rolling out a major first update on October 28th!!! That is the day of release for the general consumer and it optimizes numerous features and apps on the phone. This speed test needs to be redone a month later.
I think that's the whole point. People were thinking the tensor chip would be a slug. This proves it's not and can go toe to toe with the fastest phones on the market.
Exactly google is doing the right thing not focusing on upgrading hardware as much becuase the phones last year or even 2-3 years ago still are very fast and open applications almost just as fast as the latest and greatest especially last year's phones still being basically identical. We have hit a slight wall with how fast phones can be and just overall cpu and gpu performance. So google is in the right for deciding to improve things that you do on a daily basis with your phone with machine learning and software.
As long as it isn't below like 20 percent or in battery saver mode it's fair. Googles chip isn't made to compete with the snapdragon 888. They concentrated on their ai side of the chip.
Ive had the pixel 6 pro since launch I got lucky and had zero problems with mine, I'm on the TMobile network in southern California I always have 5 g the camera is the best I've ever had on a phone and I've had about 7 phones in 4 years or so . bad habit but I will be keeping the pixel 6 pro for a few years . it does everything I need it to do and it's Google's first version of their tensor chip I have to give them 8.7 /10 . there next cpu gen on the pixel 7 will have all the little things ironed out either way keeping mine .

Oh yeah a great match up shane. My money will always be on Qualcomms SOC. In my opinion very evenly matched smartphones and great to see Google making a very fast and efficient SOC. If Samsung is smart they will stick with Qualcomm and not use the Exynos variant SOCs. The day Samsung stops using Qualcomm I'm not buying another Samsung phone. A great video brother stay safe.

Yeah on video at least it seams the white balance is much better on the pixel and colors are neck and neck aswell. But in the end nothing will beat the s21 ultra since Samsung is the supplier for the competition and definitely wouldn't give there absolute best screen to Apple or Google.

The Galaxy S21 Ultra is faster but it's so close that it definitely isn't worth dealing with Samsung software to get that tiny bit of improvement. If the Pixel 6 had the Snapdragon 888 it would definitely beat the S21 Ultra because of Samsung's bloated One UI.

this test is kinda useless doing it free hand. you would need a machine to test the speed as if you touch one phone 1/10th faster than the other, will never get an accurate test

So the CPU on benchmarks scores with in 200 to 300 of the 888 and the GPU on the tensor scores 6600 to the 888's GPU of 5600 and these phones today in another league lol. Are all the "tech youtubers" blind? You clearly see, that the Pixel has a splash screen on every app unlike the s21. Splash screens are only for aesthetics, the phone starts to load after the screen. With that in mind, both phones are dead even and with a .5 animation speed the splash screen should dissappear

In benchmarks the A15 wipes the floor of all Android chips, but in everyday use, there's practically no difference. Only in very specific, specialised tasks which 99.9% of people won't be doing, does the A15 show it's lead in performance. Mobile phones have been more than powerful enough for years now, any extra performance is generally wasted under normal use.
Tensor chip is gonna be a monster in the years to come , it’s a first gen and it’s keeping up to these other phones.

I've been using the s21 ultra for 6 months now. Phone is crazy fast and good still. You can't go wrong with these phones. Pixel including.

Most apps and games aren't optimized for Android 12. The GPU in the tensor outperforms the GPU in the snapdragon 888

@@togateo9090 How often do you render and edit videos on a mobile phone? That's something you'd do on a Desktop PC or Laptop, not a mobile phone. In benchmarks the A15 wipes the floor of all Android chips, but in everyday use, there's practically no difference. Only in very specific, specialised tasks which 99.9% of people won't be doing, does the A15 show it's lead in performance. Mobile phones have been more than powerful enough for years now, any extra performance is generally wasted under normal use.
