Just wanted to add that the main reason the AV dude yelled at Holmes was because while he was replugging in our stuff, he knocked into a laser that the other AV set up and didn’t tell us about. It was obviously a miscommunication that led to the angry interaction but regardless everyone was okay in the end Gladge
Still though why was that AV dude touching your guys' stuff in the first place?? Karma will bite him back someday for causing the incident to happen.
@@NatureXwars I was thinking the same. I've worked with bands, and done AV work, that's not something you do unless you've already confirmed it with the talent

@@wilwong23 having worked conventions before, "gone" in this case usually means the person is blacklisted from the convention, and possibly others as well. They'll get their badge pulled and trespassed as well when possible.
Numi, I know this isn't in you and your people to have this kind of Anger, but what you should have done was curse the guy, threaten to have him thrown out and piss at him the way he pissed at your guy. Not necessary but sends a message not to fuck with you.l because, you were on the schedule just like his people were. Same with the airline check-in, and this is important. Yes you were late but that lady had no place to talk to you like that. Definitely should have curse her out because Holmes simply asked a question, and politely by the sound of it, he should have been given a polite answer. If you need an angry security guy in your posse, I can fit that job description.

Seriously though, even if one can extend some empathy towards that girl for perhaps being nervous, drinking courage, and crippling her social skills as a result, she still did some bad things and deserves to be banned from events and channels.
We're all a bit parasocial here, but I'd like to think the vast majority of viewers draw the line well before "I tracked you to the bar to drunkenly fondle you." 💀

There are some Vtubers I would really love to meet, but at the same time I wouldn't go as far as to try to track them and even if I would meet them I would probably just say hi, maybe ask to sign something or a photo (if they are okay with it) and that is it.

I'm a live sound engineer and I'm sorry you had to deal with dickbags like those guys. Conventions are hard work for everybody involved, but these dudes were taking it out on you and that's never okay. People can get egos over anything in this industry. I'm glad you came away from the weekend seeing it as a positive experience with so many great stories.
And this is why I always leave for my flights three hours minimum 💀

Honestly though, seeing all the concert videos clipped together is so cool. I am so glad that I was able to be there. Legitimately a core memory now that I will never forget, and seeing all the different angles just hits it even harder.
It's too bad that there were so many problems that came up at Weebcon, but I really hope that overall the convention was good for all the girls. I would love to go back for another concert and hanging out with all the noombas next year.
Also, whoever that sound guy was that messed with Holmes, we're literally punting him to the moon if he shows up again.

Damn. I think this is the first time hearing about a woman getting that inappropiate in a bar, but the fact that she was a woman doesn't change anything. She was assaulting you and that is not OK in anyway and under any circumtance!
Some people have never been told no and it shows. They believe that they are entitled to whatever and whoever they want.
It also shows the sad reality of why meeting with "fans" outside controlled space is a faux pas for many streamers/vtubers/etc.
I am sure that 99% of the time, that interaction would have been great, and maybe you could even have a new friend. But the problem is that 1% of the times, which can even become dangerous. This time it was a drunk woman, but next time it could be a dangerous person with even worse intentions.

Weebcon is by far the craziest convention around, glad to be able to experience the madness again. I can't wait for next year!!

While I've had some crazy stories as both a regular and as a staffer at anime conventions (this one included), I think this tops those. I'm glad despite the bad things you had fun & it was great meeting you and Yuzu at the Novel Horizons booth as it made my Sunday.
I will always love the stories whenever you come back from a trip or a con. Never know what to expect but it's always full laughs and I always hope for more stories like this. Love ya Numi

Much respect! From the span of Wednesday to Monday you guys pulled together a Con to make it enjoyable for everyone involved despite the odd shit that happened. I'm glad everyone enjoyed the best parts of everything and hopefully got some rest afterwards.

Weebcon was amazing and so it was meeting you and the girlies!! For those hearing the stories and who did not attend to weebcon, believe me when I say that weebcon is so worth it in the end. The amount of friends and people you meet, and hangouts you get to attend to make weebcon so fuckin worth it

Despite problematic interactions and encounters, I'm glad everything was worth it in the end. Admittedly, I envy the relationship you have with your friends. As a photographer and videographer, I do everything alone. I travel to the events I cover, alone. I book and stay in hotels, alone (the biggest financial kick in the dick). While I'm fortunate to have made friends in various circles and communities through photography (itasha owner, show car owner, drifters, cosplayers/models, streamers)... I don't have my own "pack" so to speak. I'm unironically a lone wolf lol. Anywho... I hope all is well, and I wish you all the best in your endeavors!

There's two things to enjoy at a convention (especially with a group of friends) and that is the convention itself & the many unhinged shenanigans that go on outside of the convention.
Life is the greatest spice to one's own existence & being able to tell these various Weebcon stories is just proof *that you're living the best life possible Numi.* 😂❤

When i went on vacation with my family everyone said we should be at the airport 2 hours before the plane leaves. I thought that was a bit extreme, but now i can see why it might be necessary.

I've never been to a convention myself so I always wondered why people said they were so knackering but this whole story has really clarified for me why that is the case. Even more so for creators, I imagine!

The harsh thing… my first con was the 10th anniversary of Indiana comic-con this year, and they kicked out like 8 people on day one only to kick out a Karen the next day for grasping the uh saber of doom on Hayden Christensen and she immediately went on Facebook and started saying he assaulted her when it was her so.. that happened. The security was so harsh days two and three it was absolute insanity yeah let’s just say when I got home I immediately needed to pick up my absolutely amazing rouge rocketeer guitar and play something since I couldn’t take it with me for the week I was in Indiana but it didn’t bother me because I blasted Sinder’s music in my ear on days 2 and 3 because I don’t do well with big groups of people anymore and get headaches from 20+ people. In the end I was glad to go but I was much happier when I got home no offense to my friends I just wanted my unwinding mechanisms
