Cold Steel Peace Maker II Review + Use

- This is an older design from Cold Steel's budget line. Other reviewers have not been impressed, but I love it. It gives tons of performance for the price, and the sheath is not bad, either! I remeasured the spine and got 2.9mm thickness.
I just practiced getting a flame with a fire steel and my PMII. The spine, as expected, threw nice sparks and made good wood scrapings for catching a flame. I have had trouble with this until now. No doubt the PMII made it easy. What an awesome knife.
I just ordered one

Awesome for sure
PM II is the most underated CS knives by all means!Especially for people who have S to M size hands, the most underated group for modern knives markets.Great compact ambidextrous sheat that would not dull the edge, easy to canceal carry.Great rust resistance steel easy to strop back.True scandi grind and full tang stronger than many budget mora. With blade length legal in almost every country but still usable 4 self-defence,bushcraft,light batoning, food preparing, comes with 90 degree angle spine. This knife plays every role as a knife.
You know this knife well. I agree with every word. People get hung up on the looks and don't respect this knife, but it will not let you down.
Very well done blade brother, awesome knife 🔪 👏 😎 👍 👌 😀 🔪
I bought one tonight as part of an ongoing “CS panic buy” where I’m trying to get all cold steels on my list before they go out or change production materials. Can’t wait to use it
This is kind of a basic, no frills knife. It works for its intended purpose.
Thanks for the excellent review. I really appreciate the time and thought you put into this.
Hey man this is a good review , most other knife reviews suck total ass keep it up
For this knife only being $25 I use it for my backup bushcraft knife for simple soft batoning and shaving but for more heavy duty hard wood I will use my cold steel drop forged survivalist ($80)
I need to get me one of those again!!! Right now I'm using my drop forged hunter and a maruader for woods duty
Tennis racket tape will make that handle just the way you like it
Nice review. I have several. Much sharper than any Mora I have. Not quite as sharp as a Marttini. I consider my hands small, but I agree 100% about the slender handle. this is a boot style knife. I wrapped with paracord then pulled a rubber sleeve over the paracord. I cut myself badly getting the bicycle inner tube over the paracord. It still isn't very comfortable. Next I will try wrapping some foam under the paracord.
Tape up the blade when you are modding! Be well!
Around 4:23 ish I totally thought he was gonna slice into his palm as part of the video.
It's just a way to get the camera to focus
I like them I have 2 of them. The question is how to carry it. The clip is good but I feel like I might just loose it still thinking of a way to carry it.
The clips are pretty firm on mine. It takes a lot of force to pull loose.
Will this steel rust from water or sweat? AUS 8 was a failure for me. VG-10 was perfecto!
4116 Krupp is used for kitchen knives. I believe its composition makes it one of the more stainless steels out there.
15% chromium, you should be good.
I have this and it's a good knife. Also like to carry my rajah 2, ti-light 6, and recon 1 clip point!!! Also have a maruader in my pack!!! Love me some cold steel!!! Also love going to the woods with my cold steel bolo machete or seax machete!!!
