- Claude Giroux and Brady Tkachuk both score as the Senators beat Utah Sunday for their second win in a row to move into third in the Atlantic division. TSN's Marc Methot and Claire Hanna discuss Giroux and Tkachuk getting the monkey off their back, and how Ottawa has been able to continue to rise to the occasion with their tough schedule.
Giroux, what a player! Congrats Claude 🎉❤
This team is different than what we've seen in the past. Green's coaching is effective, and the players have bought in, starting with the big guns and going right down the lineup. Goaltending has been great despite Ullmark's absence. The key now will be to keep the offence going while also playing this stifling defence that has been a treat to watch. Keep it up boys, the whole city (and beyond) is behind you. We've been waiting years for this and we believe you can get it done. I can't tell you how amazing it feels knowing we can win on any given night if we play the right way. Don't let off the gas boys - learn from past mistakes and stay consistent until the dust settles and we've punched our ticket. Keep making us proud to be fans of this team! GO SENS GO!
3rd in the Atlantic. I know Tampa has a few games in hand, but for the Sens to have the spot for at least a day in late Jan is something I didn't expect to see for a long long time.
Never under estimate a Tkachuk 😂❤
Or a Hughes, with, in separate games last weekend, Jack and his brother Quinn having scored game-winning goals.
Glad Sens won !
Anton Forsberg, during last week's away loss to the Bruins, presented a ray of hope for the Sens via having stopped all but one of 25 shots he had faced. With Ullmark's ongoing injury stint, Forsberg's play against the Leafs and Merilainen's against the Utah Hockey Club helped the Sens win both of their weekend games. Just imagine how dangerous this Sens' team may very well be when they have anywhere from 2 to 4 calendar days Eastern Time off between games although of course TBD will be how many of their top forwards, blueliners and depth forwards will click and how often they do during what remains of the regular season and, should the Sens qualify for the 2025 postseason, postseason.
Surprised this video isnt blacked out.
Tsn sucks
lmao
