Taking my doors and back window off tomorrow on mine. Going to leave the half top on for a few days. But may go back to the old top for the summer with the windows out. Boats hooked up, going fishing at Pickwick tomorrow.
Thanx for the review. I've been running my 97 with it's half doors and looking at some mirrors that would fit nicely to the body so I could remove the doors. Your video was perfectly timed. Glad everything is working great with your engine.
I've got the same, if not, very similar mirrors on my TJ, I modifird my so I can bolt it them on to the hinge when I take my doors off. I leave mine off all summer
Looks nice! I’ll save the link for sure. First I have to get up the guts to try taking those doors off. PO didn’t seem to be a fan of driving it doorless.
@@ForceBuilt Finally bought these. Had the others that would stay on the door hinge. Wanted something easier. Let's see how these do. Cool jeep and color by the way!
How did you get your torx screws off so easily on your jeep? my A frame screws on my 2006 were frozen solid. One of them stripped completely. You have a really nice looking jeep.
As you can see in the video, mine weren't tight at all. I recently disassembled the entire Jeep and painted it. I don't remember how tight they were then either. Thanks for the compliment! I have put a lot of work into my Jeep. Did you ever get the bolt out?
@@ForceBuilt No, my stripped bolt is a future project. I had the same issue taking off my front bumper, but since they weren't near paint I could use a torch to heat them up and get them out that way.
Hi Kevin. I didn't have a problem with mine moving. They are very solid. I did tighten the bolt that holds them in position pretty tight though. It tightening the bolt more doesn't fix the issue, you may have a defect. Hope you get it worked out! Thanks
@@ForceBuilt I ordered similar-looking mirrors and put them on last night. The bolt doesn't keep them from moving despite the fact it's as right as it can be.
@@kevinbrinkley374 I would send them back and try a different set. If you need to keep them, get some skate board tape(Sticky sandpaper) and put it in between the pinch point. That should do it. Hope this helps!
@@ForceBuilt I actually stuffed in a washer on either side of the mirror holder. Gonna see if that holds. It's a bit sturdier, but I'm not sure how it will hold up at 40mph+
So I have these mirrors but I can not for the life of me get them to stay sturdy while I drive, the wind pushes them and all I see is myself lol. Anyone have a solution
I haven't had that issue. I do remember having to get them very tight with the hand screw the first time. You may have to tighten it real tight the first time to make sure the mounting surface is seated fully against the mirror. After everything is mated real good it should work better. The ears of the mounting surface may be just a little too wide and need to be bent in a little . That is why I say to get it real tight the first couple of usages. Hope this helps and thanks for asking!

Thanks Brian for watching! Thanks for taking the time to comment also. Means a lot to the channel!
Did you like them? Thinking of ordering

Awesome Mark! When this pollen dies down a little, I will be going without mine also. Mine is a daily driver so they go back on for rainy days.
Harley mirrors on there stem slides right in the factory hinge and work good
Good to know. Do you have a link?
@@ForceBuilt no I just pulled an old mirror out of my junk pile and stuck it in the door hinge hole

Yeah Ed, they seem to work great and I like the way they look! Thanks for stopping by!
Great video. Thank you
Thanks Mike!
badass!
Thanks Luis!

@@gregcollier472 yeah, I understand. I did have that trouble with my front and rear bumpers. I torched them real good! Good luck Greg!
Do they fit okay on the two bolts below the windshield hinge ?
They only fit on the side like you see here. Thanks for watching!
Great
How did you get it to stay in place? I can't run over 40 mph with these on before the wind blows them back towards the Jeep.

Yes they do. Thanks Williams
