Just got a 2002 Sahara 5-speed I LOVE IT. All stock added a swayloc to the cart. I'm on stock 30s with Dana 44 rear. I'm going to make sure it runs drives well, fix what needs to be fixed then figure out big tires and lift later. Got the soft top! Is this swayloc easy to install? I will actually google it after leaving this review hahah! Thanks again great video!
I've owned several TJs since 99 with all different levels of modifications. My favorite setup was the first one I had when I didn't have the money to dump into expensive mods. 31" swampers, stock suspension, welded rear diff, a diy special tummy tuck skid plate, and a cheap mile marker winch for added offroading confidence. My current TJ is sitting on a 4" lift with 35" km3s and everytime I use it I wish I had my old jeep back. The simplicity and stability were not worth scrificing for the ability to climb something a smidge taller. As far as tops go. Yes you can buy a cheap top for a third of the cost of a good one but the good one is going to last 10x longer
Ha! I thought it was a cool bird crap sticker! Man, you should sell those, and spray-on mud splatter from all the great trails.. Rubicon mud, Black Bear etc... Imogene...😂
Standard slip yoke elimanator gives you additional 4” in driveshaft length, extreme gives 7” extra. The driveshaft is on that much less of an angle for upper u joint failure and vibration. My regret is that I didn’t go with that one first.
Preach it brother! SwayLoc is the way to go! I did mine about 2 years ago and wondered why I didn’t do it sooner.
Totally agree. My belief is this should be a TJ’s owners 1st mod. You can’t go wrong.
You can also regret not having a 115mph speedboat to pull behind a nice looking TJ
115 on water is what 150 on road😀?
Dunno but I can tell you 156 mph in my outboard is scary stuff.
Awesome video guys 🙌
Yah man

I'm surprised lockers weren't on your list. The stock Willys Jeeps could crawl like mofos and their axles were locked.

Great vids, Please get a stabilizer cam mount.
In particular, the slip yoke on the xfer case shouldn't have been a thing. I can see no design benefit whatsoever.
Why do you say that?
Standard slip yoke elimanator gives you additional 4” in driveshaft length, extreme gives 7” extra. The driveshaft is on that much less of an angle for upper u joint failure and vibration.
My regret is that I didn’t go with that one first.
@campbellbuilt i said it should never have been a thing. The slip joint should have remained on the drive shaft. I am agreeing with you.
@johnfitzgerald5158
Totally misunderstood your comment 😀😀😀, not the first time I’ve misunderstood people John.
I put 31" tires on my tj, i didnt want a big tire but i wanted to get rpm's down on hwy

Who makes that soft top? Or what's a good quality soft top?
Bestop soft tops are just pure quality

Just looked it over and it looks like a good kit. I was unaware their company.
