I played this a few years ago for honors band and they had gave us the meaning behind it that i don't quite remember but it was something along the lines of a pasionite band instructor had passed do to cancer and her students i belive either had this piece made in honor of her or played it in honor of her. A quote she had was do what you love love what you do and do it for as long as you can. I still think back on this and it made me realize that i would like to become a composer one day and inspire others like she did for her students.
Even though this is a relatively easy piece it's so nice. Honestly really underrated piece of music
it might look easy but it's really not, you have to make all the notes smooth and connected and also dynamics.
@@LooseBajayjay It's really easy
