- Jungle Dance - Brian Balmages
Your band will lead a musical celebration of life in the jungle with this captivating piece. A never-changing melody is cleverly woven throughout the work as the surrounding harmonies and textures constantly evolve as the music develops. As the melody is passed from section to section, it is layered on top of itself numerous times along with the countermelodies that have been heard through the course of the piece. A large battery of percussion compliments the winds perfectly in this enchanting selection that is sure to become your band's favorite.
I own nothing.

As a baritone player, the last 30 measures are a certified fire moment
Edit: it's been 2 years. Let this comment die
As another baritone player, I agree
I’m euphonium and playing this
As a tenor sax player I can agree (basically the same part)
As a trombone player, the whole song sucks (46 measures of rest total and basically all whole notes and a lot of repeated notes)
I play the flute and I always struggled to hold back a smile when they started playing the end it was always so good 💀
When my band director put the recording up of this song the whole class was so exited! Now whenever we get it out we all are so ready and exited to play
This is one of the songs ever 🔥🔥🔥
Indeed it is one of sobg
I think u forgot the word best 🤔
This easily one of the song I've ever heard!!😁
I played this in 7th grade at a regional band congregation in my county, revisiting as a freshman in college is so much fun. As a trumpet player, I lived for that melody!
7th grade😮😮
@@murdermaster8975 im a seventh grader and we played it for our second concert!
it was so fun
The low brass part at 1:17 is actually 🔥🔥 it fits so well with the horns having the melody.
I remember distinctly playing this during my band exam in high school and the person watching us perform this was so impressed by my rhythm that he said, "you keep her around. She has good rhythm". And my band director being so proud of me and by the end of this song I was so proud of myself. I was playing the bongos for this song
Nice!
@@Invisiblecommenter- yeah. It was the best feeling in the whole world

this song has me headbanging
Played cowbell for this song with our song cant even lie was jamming out the entire time.
What's going on at 2:41? Is that a mistake or is that how it's supposed to sound?
I’m pretty sure it’s a mistake but in a weird way I like it.

what happened at 2:40 💀
Men kissing
Hms wya
This some 6th grade sh!t fr, but it hits ngl
We played this at our last concert of the school year but much slower.
This song was pretty great until the damn kid in the first clarinet wouldn’t stop playing this every freaking second he could!
We have a kid in our band that does that too!
Facts tho
We are gonna play this for our spring concert! I’m super excited because after we preform in front of parents we then preform in front of judges a couple days later and go to six flags after! Our school won last year so we can hopefully expect the same.
same here, except were playin a different piece
Same me too but for my schools open house
8th grade?
0:48 is great
same here!!
just found the clarinet 1 sheet music of this in one of my moving boxes…the classic days of playing clarinet in junior high
In middle school, I was assigned lead Aux for most songs. While we never played this to a crowed, easily my favorite memory from band then was when we had a sub and a student took the lead and we managed to get through this song with minimal errors. Thank you for posting this so I can relive those memories even after I quite band in my 12th grade year.
I just got this song today for our 7th grade class and I'm 1st clarinet. it's honestly not to bad (ive been practicing it for like 2 hours)
Do you go to elgin middle school?
Bro I did too and our concert was fire the other day
@@John-is1dw do you go?
@@BostYT we did it for a concert on April 18th and it was fine, except 1st clarinets were flat
@@John-is1dw that is my account on my old phone
That's the sound of a clarinet in the beginning, I know because I used to play a clarinet in middle school.
yesssssssssssssssssssssssssss
And it's also written in the score.
Well it says it on the video ☠️
I’m a junior in high school and this is still my favorite piece I’ve ever played

This the best horn part I have ever played

Wow. What a nostalgic song. I’m leaving my current school and percussion, and this was the last song we learned together. All the memories flood back when I listen to the last song I played and learned with them. 😊
As French horn I can confirm this is one of my favorites
Same

French horn gang.😎
I love animal jam
This is my favorite piece that I never got to play :( we only got 3 weeks to learn it and we ended up just playing some other music
We had our band vote on a selection of songs and the clarinets and percussion joined forces so they could have features
Do you go to elgin? because my school did the same vote

I’m in 8th grade last year in advanced band I was in 7 th with 8th graders and our band director is amazing we played this song just as good as the recording and made it into a state wide conference which we are going to soon and to make you believe we sound exactly like that recording we won a supreme award playing that song as well which was the best out of all the 50 middle schools that played.
I'm happy to say that in my school band I play the cowbell in this song
was gonna play this but covid happend
Played this song three years ago in 6th grade (I think) time moves by quick, but this song will never stop being gold.
I’m playing this rn in class. I hate the long high notes (trombone)
Nah I'm a sixth grader that is playing with the wind ensemble (top tear band with eight graders)
Low brass went a bit crazy at the end but still one of the best pieces of music in my opinion 😂
Finally a piece where bassoon actually gets partially recognized
I have to perform this today, I’m so scared
I played the alto part my freshman year about 2 years ago. So much fun
As a tenor sax the best part started at measure 45
my band chose arabian dances and march of the grand high poobah instead of this😩😭
I’m playing this in my band rn lol
