      Shawn Jolicoeur Sweet! Thanks man! I have to fight the urge to add video effects to everything hahaha. Like Lucas and scene transition/wipes.

    I watched this one second. Both were spot on. I didn’t realize that was how the inlays were done. Makes sense now. When I get my CNC I may give no will likely be using this software. These tutorials will really give me a jump start. Thanks for condensing the learning curve and your presentation style is a great balance. Enough info to get the work done without going off on tangents that don’t get me any closer to my goal. Thanks again!

      +ManCraftingTM There are a few other ways of doing it I have found, but I am drawn to the VBit method. Seems to more forgiving of imperfections.. I hope you do give ArtCAM a shot. It has some cool features is quite powerful. Thanks Chad!!

    Great Video.
    Can I know which toolpath to use for area clearance. So I can save time which v bit takes to clear out pocket. ?

    why didn't you use V bit tool path? you could use an endmil to rough out large areas

    • @Geeksmithing
      @Geeksmithing  Рік тому

      Great question! I wish I had a solid answer for that for a project that was over five years ago. This was a very early project with the CNC and I'd hazard a guess that I didn't know or want to do a tool change. Good idea to revisit this project! 🤓👍. Thanks for watching!

    I am new to artcam and the workflow is way different from 3d modeling like Fusion. I'd be interested in seeing how to do this with a roughing strategy to save time on larger pieces.

      Eros Angelos I was recently at Autodesk in San Francisco, and asked friends who worked there about it.... They seemed to be saddened about that. It sounded like Autodesk bought the original ArtCAM company to acquire the intellectual property for future tech down the road. They didn't know of what the future was for it. 😔

      Hey not sure if you know or not but you can select multiple tools for the toolpath. If you select say 1/4 end mill then vbit of choice. Artcam will use the 1/4 mill as roughing tool and just come in and clean up with the vbit greately speeding up the process.
