About animals. If you take boar in your party and take perk that lowers it's food consumption - with time it will earn fat trait. If you butcher this boar after that - the return in food will be massive.
One little tip I recommend is changing the highlight and hover outline color to something brighter and more visible like a cherry red. That way when you hit ALT or over something it is easier to see. Its in the Options menu under Accessibility
Anyone watching this after later patches, I followed this guys gameplay loop as recommended. The guards spawn right outside of you camping everytime, you will need to run immediately with luck its possible to get away but it is not easy depending on how you positioned your camp. At the abandoned tower, I freed the blacksmith and camped due to fatigue. On ending camp, there was a guard and 2x groups of the groups looking for the blacksmith. I'm not saying that the game is too hard or even that what this guy is saying is rubbish, I'm just saying bewary, probably do not steal the raw materials as suggested its an unnecessary complication and camp before you free the prisoner if you need to so you have time to run.
Even in non extreme is harder, i have been watching guides not updated and im sure the devs made the game harder in general a lot of easy cheese or strategies arent as viable as guides show but to be honest I kinda like it, I dont feel that bad 😂
Guessing they fine tuned/Nerfed a bunch of stuff. Example: Be sure to camp before taking the blacksmith because camping after seems to spawn 2+ patrols. Last time had 3 coming at me from 3 different directions making it impossible but camping before had only 1 chase me out of the woods. Worlds easier. Also after stealing I would run into triple sprinting patrols around the prison at the start and some spawns are also impossible to dodge with bad RNG. I should note this is for extreme/extreme/Ironman so maybe hold off from theft right out of the gate.
I'm not too sure about the extreme difficulty, but at least for experienced mode, just remember that there's no need to always feed your troop to the full amount, allowing you to actually hold a fairly large party size. There's no associated benefits to fully feeding your crew. Your crew, with 4 people around the fire, can already generate 1 happiness each (offsetting a -4 happiness). Alcohol of any kind also generates 1 happiness each, with some foods like syrup generating 2 happiness. This means that you can offset negative happiness while underfeeding your troop. I've done this for days in a row with no negative repercussions or traits. Unless you're desperate to generate renown points or something, you should be able to easily keep 15 happiness for a good amount of game weeks.
If you dont keep your troop 100% happy all the time with payments and feeding, the happiness penalty is 'extreme' on extreme difficulty. Fail to meet requirements a couple rests and they simply leave your troop. Trust me its a bad idea :P
I play on extreme region locked, this allows you to expand your troop more easily than adapted IMO. Ive done tiltren then just gone between cortia and verthuse trading, do a few contracts in between. Use apple pancakes as it gives you 30% fatigue bonus. Keep food consumption as low as possible. Pay wages on time always keep 200 to 300 extra cash just incase. Im running with 6 characters, 3 ponys and an alpha wolf just because i can i want an archer but been no good ones.
Region Locked is more difficult and a more exciting experience for an Extreme play through. With Region locked there will be cases where you will have to retreat and suffer the heavy penalties or risk a truly devastating loss. It makes the experience more risky.
eternal disatisfaction is the best negative trait to choose at the start. it wont even be noticable with all the foods that give happiness plus your campfire
I just plug and play for first time the game on extreme my spearman have 22% crit can harpoon / normal attack then move out of range come back for more or heal poison on other targets. It is killing machine.
Blacksmithing is OP, make sure to clear out the mines ASAP and get some iron. Craft at a minimum the breatplate for your tanks and medium armor guys and that will make it a lot more manageable until level 5 where you can get the OP ghost armor sets.

17:52 you dont recommend capturing animals, but what about bears? I got 1 early game and he's great. He's got 500 something health and 1-3 shots most enemies
They eat too much, alpha wolf is 8 bear should be like 12 or more no? And for what they can give maybe only the beat is worth but is high rng I havent found any bear in 8 hours 😂😂😂😂
Man I just want more skill tree for the freed slave. I'm currently doing a Expert difficulty freed slave run, as of now I have 4 Original Characters, 5 FS Outlaws, 3 FS Legionary, 2 FS Merchant, and 1 FS Zealot(Has a Brute skill tree).
What about party comps more than 6? I think 9 is the sweet spot. It covers all professions and classes so you don't need to swap them (except bard which is useless) I've tried double archer infantrymen, overwatch destroys everything
Don't stand next to them. Use a spearman or archer to kill them or find a way through perks or armor to prevent a soldier taking burning damage as a debuff. If your guys get set on fire try not to use them until last of the round where possible incase you are winning in that round, then you save the damage hit too.
Oi, realmente você tem ótimas dicas porém, não segue uma linha de jogo e um estilo de jogo. Toma atitudes dentro do jogo sem sentido. Gostei muito do teu vídeo no geral, achei que faltou mais espírito dentro do cenário. Abraço do Brasil ❤
The game scales way too fast on adaptive. My guys are lvl 3-4 with crap gear, 8 of them. Now all of the groups I have to face are 9-10 enemies, level 6-7, much better gear. It's fucking stupid. Region locked is the opposite and way way way too easy. There's no good middle ground.
This is a beginner friendly guide to Extreme, so it covers everything from A to Z to get ready for this difficulty. Freshen up some basics if you're familiar with the game and advanced tips to get the most out of everything from the getgo I've seen plenty people still messing up the essentials which will make it impossible to even survive a month on this difficulty Thank me later ^^

The level 4 difficulty spike is crazy on extreme. Everyone else is level 6 which makes even attacking refugees really risky.
I tried extreme and then quickly realized I had no idea what I was doing 😂
I attempted and extreme difficulty Ironmen run and definitely not ready for that yet lol.

Just make everyone a Loafer. Buy more ponies. Train your ponies. It's no big deal.

Bears can be Amazing! I love them while they need a lot of yummy in their tummies hehe :D

How's that working out?
Great job bud.
Is it ever better to finish of battles versus letting them flee? Seems like letting them flee is best for points in Magnanimous (Power and Glory).
Same question here
Playing on extreme. I've not noticed a difference in loot when letting people run.
@@EKensaiexp diffrence
thanks nice guide

I've tried double archer infantrymen, overwatch destroys everything
Bard is useless? Oooh cmmn I wanted to play roleplay with a bard in hard mode 😢 Why games always get bad the bards or artist type of gameplay 😂
Wheres the let's play being posted?
Give one Wood in these Box by the Mill before you catch the Key, than you have your own Box for ever 😮😂
Huh?
What
You can't set lucky on horses now, what do you advise? Club footed?
You can know 😂
How do you deal with burning enemies?
When i set them ablaze and attack, I am also set ablaze, its really annoying.

Is it possible to get different trait with Hakert if you reload the game?
If you saved before the encounter you should, but not once hes loaded into the game
6 people 😂lol I have 24 same Difficulty.
The more u get, the longer everything takes
I'm not a big fan of endless combat tbh :D
