I recently moved as well. I moved over 1500 miles away to be closer to my daughter. It’s a move we took for my mental health. Now before that we had moved seven years before 1500 miles away again for my physical and mental health. This new move will is a short stay. I’m here for a birth of a baby and then I’m gonna be moving again 1500 miles away in about a year a year and a quarter. Moves are important is what I’m getting at. It’s a move towards something. And for you your moves have helped you accomplish things. So as wonderful that houses is and as wonderful as your neighbors are, it is time for you to move to the next step in life whatever that may be. But whatever it will be. But after the move is over, I know you will accomplish more wonderful things for yourself.
This is very true! I guess I just wanted and imagined we would stay put this time! But, life changes doesnt it, and we have to adapt to those changes and this move will definitely help me to accomplish so much more, in terms of my health and wellbeing and improve things for us both as a couple and a fur family! @@FinnTheInfinncible we are settling in nicely however, the settling in is very new. I have not even returned the moving truck yet but it goes back tomorrow, so new new. I cannot wait to see your new place
I can definitely relate. The apartment we live in now was originally freedom because we were going from a second floor unit to a ground floor on and we were going to be paying EFF rent because the place is for low income people. We didn't consider that this is a developing suburb that has really nice sidewalks in the places with houses and building and then nothing in the undeveloped lots, which makes using my cane or a guide dog more difficult, still doable, but not comfortable safety wise. And the closest bus is a little over a mile away. We hoped I'd be able to work up to walking to it but we're still working on going to our mailbox at the front of the apartment complex. So yeah, at the time this actually was the fest place for us, even with the down falls, but it's definitely not what we need any more. What we want to to is buy a house, but not sure if or when that'll ever happen. Nova and I both have poor credit after mistakes made in our youth. 😅 But I've been working on that so 🤞. I hope the move goes well for the three of you. Moving is so stressful, but once it's done and you can breathe you'll enjoy your new home. 💙
Thanks buddy, yes it sounds like you had a very similar experience. , a move that was right for a time but you outgrew it and your needs changed. Same here, and this move now will future proof for us. We cant afford to buy so we wont be moving again until an opportunity comes to get our own bungalow and thats only if we get a lottery win! This has everything we need and we cant wait to share it!
@@FinnTheInfinncible Normally I'd say we can't afford to buy either but the rent around here is horrible, not as bad as huge cities like say New York, but still pretty crappy. Example, our two bedroom apartment in subsidised housing is $1,229 /month. Unsubsidized ones of similar size in my area are $1500 /month. For context, I make only $1001 /month on my disability income. But anyway the real estate market in my area is actually pretty good and depending on what a person needs/wants it's actually cheaper to pay a mortgage on a house than to rent. But it's qualifying for said mortgage that's the hard part. 😅
Paignton is my most favourite place in the country ❤❤❤ Went there on holiday every year growing up. Now whenever I see the train at Stoke station that terminates at Paignton I long to get on it (despite it being like 5 hours lol) 😅
@@FinnTheInfinncible I don’t know if he’s still there but there used to be a lovely older man who would always be stood by the side of the road on the way into Torquay from Paignton waving to passers by with a big smile. Not sure of his real name but people called him Moses. Keep an eye out, I’d love to know if he’s still going ^.^
Houses with stairs are so overatted imo. Was listening to an architecture podcast earlier and they were saying that in the UK, two story homes are seen as status thing. Whereas in places places like Australia where there's more land to build on, one storey homes are de rigeur (Neighbours being a case in point!). Disability or not, it's so much more efficient to live in a one-story home. Life feels much more fluid when you're not constantly taking things (and yourself) up and down the wooden hill! 😆
Living in Paignton will put you near the zoo, so you’ll have easy access to capybaras, which are good for the soul. I moved recently to a ground floor flat on the outskirts of Exeter and while I don’t get out much because of similar health problems, it’s been a big help. Wishing you both well.❤
Oh gosh... its not long before you move out!!! Glad its going to suit both of you, but my lawd, as someone with ADHD, this is still stuff nightmares are made of...MOVING!!!! Having to move because the landlord was selling the house was horrifying. I had help with paying for the movers, but I couldnt do that now. No one left to help. Fingers crossed all goes to plan and your spoons with be replenished tenfold.🏳⚧🏳🌈🤍💕💙

Ooooohhhhhhhh big move yay
Houses with stairs are so overatted imo. Was listening to an architecture podcast earlier and they were saying that in the UK, two story homes are seen as status thing. Whereas in places places like Australia where there's more land to build on, one storey homes are de rigeur (Neighbours being a case in point!). Disability or not, it's so much more efficient to live in a one-story home. Life feels much more fluid when you're not constantly taking things (and yourself) up and down the wooden hill! 😆
Happy for you Finn 🎉
Living in Paignton will put you near the zoo, so you’ll have easy access to capybaras, which are good for the soul. I moved recently to a ground floor flat on the outskirts of Exeter and while I don’t get out much because of similar health problems, it’s been a big help. Wishing you both well.❤
How exciting :)
I'm glad you think so! I can't wait to share these new adventures with you!
Oh gosh... its not long before you move out!!!
Thanks buddy and yep I feel you! I'm going through hell dealing with it right now! I'm just trying to focus on the end goal!
@@FinnTheInfinncible Yes, it is worth every spoon. ;)
