Cool! If someone were looking for a woodworking project, building a wooden case for this would be fun. The LEDs would have to be mounted in a way that you could see them. Maybe a slot with an inset section of clear plastic? Thanks for the video!

I have one of these kits to build up. Nice to know some of the pitfalls. Also, ordered one of those pin straighteners. Strange that buying it from Amazon UK is my cheapest option being here in Canada.
It's not a bad little kit overall. The IC pin straightener is an invaluable tool. Not so much for straightening the legs as for getting them at 90 degrees so they go in the board or sockets very easily. Thanks for watching.

AliExpress have EVERYTHING for electronics. Just be careful who you order from because a lot will be going bust over the next 6 months and make sure the user rating is always above 95% 👍

Mostly complete this kit however there’s one thing I’ve not been able to work out. There’s one socket on the circuit board with the LEDs, I haven’t been able to work out where the two wires go? I’m assuming it’s somewhere on the Bluetooth circuit board?
Hi @squeaksvids5886. Sorry for taking so long to reply. I had to get the unit out to remind myself where I put the wires. I took the wires from the LED board and soldered them underneath the board on the incoming power connector for the top USB board, the red power connector. It gets a direct 5V this way and works well.

Looks interesting. Is it true stereo?, if so I'd try putting it in a better box with speakers facing forward . I wonder if it the BT module is available separately.
Yes, it has left & right channels out from the BT module board. I bought one of these BT module from Wish a while back, I see they do have them on Amazon too. That's a great idea for a project though, I might look at transplanting it into a better case for a future project.
