Corpse husband has one of the biggest and most loyal fan bases on the internet. Achieving everything he could have ever dreamed of. Yet in his very unique situation, the negatives seem to greatly outweigh the positives. Constant thoughts of self harm and being repulsed by what you see everytime you look into the mirror, knowing that everyone out there expects you to look a certain way, knowing damn well youd never live up to their expectations regardless of what you looked like. With so many constantly questioning his identity, forcing him into an almost permanent hibernation, isolating himself from friends and family, it makes you wonder if he would've been better off revealing his face at the very beginning of his youtube career.

I couldn't even begin to think how all the pressure from being this famous so quickly could put on the guy. Honestly I wouldn't blame him. His fanbase (the ones he got from when he started his music) that I see are so hyperactive it's crazy (ex: people getting the sound waves of him breathing tattooed on them. Honestly I'd be creeped out by that type of behavior)
i personally wouldn't call him " unproblematic" after the whole mamamax thing, but i do agree with almost everything else. after hearing him talk about his face and s/h issues, its just really sad to hear. i hope he gets some good professional help

I think the reason so many people resonate with Corpse is because they relate to him and how he openly expresses his anxieties and insecurities and by not having a face to this personality it really does feel like it could be anyone
They like the fake voice and the edgy persona.

Yeah no as a chronically ill person, it's fucking exhausting, I'm not suprised he stopped streaming, and his health always comes first. I will always with him managable pain, which is the best thing you can do with being chronically ill. I love his music, I love all of his videos, and I hope his illnesses become managable over time.
I'm super impressed he managed to stream to begin with. chronic illness/disability is so exhausting. it's hard enough just fulfilling your body's basic needs, let alone do anything else

I truly do not care what he looks like. It's how he makes me feel, how he draws me into the stories he tells. It should be that if he's happy doing what he wants/loves to do, then... Let Him Do It! Don't let anyone take away from who you are! I Respect his privacy and his choice to reveal or not. I would hate for him to stop doing what he likes because people are cruel and unashamed of Their actions and choice words!

I don't understand this obsession people have about private content creators. I follow/watch several who have never shown their face (and never will because they're very private) and everyday they have people asking them about face reveals. *Why does it even matter* ? You enjoy the person because of their content. It's not like they're your friend either. Why do you want to know what they look like ?
It's like they're treating them like celebrities, like idols they want to fantasize about or something. What's with people's obsession over what people look like ? It feels like everybody's just super horny, all the time.

nah i didn't. i just liked how he sounded and how intelligent he was in those among us streams. i just pray to god that he is doing fine and his health issues become better overtime. and i hope he finds someone who loves him unconditionally.
I dated a streamer that was apart of a big streaming community and he actually reminds me a bit of this situation
He was so bubbly during his streams but as soon as the streams stopped he was so quiet and so filled with anxiety. He would force himself to stream and it honestly made his anxiety 100X worse. We talked about it a lot while we were dating and a lot about it after we stopped. He actually ended up quitting streaming and came to visit me and my new boyfriend got a bit of a pep talk from my boyfriend (not entirely sure what it was all about) but he and my boyfriend had a moment together and it was almost an "aha" moment. He is doing so much better now and although I loved his streams it was ultimately best for him to quit for his mental health and most of us fans/friends all understood that. If corpse feels like he needs to quit streaming for his mental health then I think he should absolutely do what's best for his health. I feel bad that there's all that pressure on him.

I mean if you're a fake extrovert then maybe streaming isn't for you. I get that like people need to take care of themselves. But performing is a necessary part of being an entertainer. These people need to get a grip. I'm an introvert. And I'm introspective enough to know how to manage my levels. And that I need to manage my levels. I would never try to be a youtuber. But if I did, I'd approach it like every other social endeavor. With restraint and a plan.
I wish him all the best, and honestly I have no expectation from any entertainer. But I think that these people DO enjoy some time in the spotlight, and I think they will be happy when they find the right balance.
Maybe youtube is not the right venue. It does seem dysfunctional the way youtube wants constant content updates.

Wether he shows his face or not i’ll still support him, i don’t watch him in the hope that i’ll see his face some day, i watch him because i like his content, and i relate to him to some degree, we don’t have the same medical problems but neither of us got caught by the system and got proper help, when i first found him and got a bit of his backstory i felt a little less lonely, his work helped me through some hard shit and i’ll always be thankful for that

I think the reason Corpse gets hate is because he blew up for having a deep voice.
Its one of those; "And here is another person blowing up for no reason".
People tend to hate talentless blow-ups, and he was the newest addition.
Combined with obsessive teenage fans responsible for the blow-up, which hate will follow anyone with that, just look at JB, KPop in-general, or whoever/whatever else.
I think the worse part from the outsider prospective was him playing into it.
He embodied the role that the teenage obsessed girls idolized him to be, posting that clip of him breathing, or body/arm pics, clear indicator of what he's doing.
He claims he doesn't want to be judged for his looks, but took on profile pictures/art that painted him as this super attractive guy.
Of-course you won't live up to that.
He took on this edgy persona with a mask, deep voice, and started to make punk-esk anime-hype mid-music that also blew up because of his voice.
And again, you won't live up to that.
Its clear he wants to feed the beast, and is terrified of what happens if his identity is revealed and his fans no longer find him attractive.
The guy is clearly jumping through hoops to hide his identity, not out of privacy concerns, but out of the idea that his fans won't find him attractive.
Its sad really.
If you keep feeding the beast, you're only going to make it worse for yourself.
Just to clarify, I'm not hating on his success, or him as a person, but I don't think he'd of ever gotten any hate if he simply just made his videos, music even, without the artwork attached, or feeding into the non-sense.

I still dont get why people are so mean to him, I was friends with him on skype back when he first started youtube(he used to use the same name on there but i doubt he does anymore, i haven't been on in so long) and while I've never voice chatted with him i used to send messages here and there and he was always nice and respectful

His deep voice and eye problems sound like GERD, but with his anxiety condition inflating his stress he could easily form an ulcer, develop a heart condition, or develop a more severe form of GERD. 😟I really hope he's able to afford the best care, whatever his conditions might be, with all the success UA-cam has brought him.

As someone with agoraphobia and many chronic health problems that are quite painful. When I was open about myself online and in public I was demonized vary fast for I didn't look sick or too happy or are not whining in pain all the time. Then the flip side people would attack me for being too open of my pain. Back when I was a shut in I didn't talk in conferences about my rare illnesses my life was quite. Video games, small group of friends, pets, small hobbies, just a girl scared of the outside world and people. I didn't want that to define me and wanted to try and educate about my illnesses in hopes with enough awareness a cure may be found. I wanted to make my personal goals to be normal and despite being disabled I can do any goal I set my mind to. I became vary successful and in a short time but with success comes hate and with my metal conditions like my agoraphobia, PTSD, anxiety, depression, and panic disorder I crumbled. I'm not proud I did but it was far too much and I was doxed, and slandered online people beat me up at home to quote "know what it's like to Really be disabled" this led to me being so messed up that I had mini strokes, I went legally blind, I now have memory problems, brain damage, worse agoraphobia and so on. This is made me more sensitive and I priveted everything. Even now I can't work do to all this and I badly need to move the dox is still here and people still show up but my conditions are now so bad I can't do much of anything but really my service dog and I need to move before we die here but raising money is kinda hard if you are off socal media, still fighting disability (9 years now) for disabilities are just too rare and unknown, and you are now so disabled from injuries you can never do the work you did and just getting harder and harder, an all disabled housing is booked and you have to wait for someone to pass to get in fundraising is almost impossible sadly so may die here in the hands of people that just hate but thats what your fears do to you idk what to feel or think i just fear now i hate my reflection i hate seeing people i take interacting. I'm even debating changing my name. The problem is I ware vary identifying one of a kind medical aperatses on me and my service dog is memorable my voice is known so am I safe to leave my home ever again? The answer of that is unknown... it's a lot to manage and deal with, and I feel trapped. I fully get his music as I have been there. I really wish I did hide myself and never showed my face never tried to get more awareness pretty much walking into a spotlight. He luckily hid his face but I too have a voice easy to recognize so not sure what I need to do but it's not an easy life and it's bad enough to live with disabilities and for sure the painful chronic ones but to add hateful people that want to be up in your business an a agoraphobic for that matter is for sure hard!
People need to respect he needs time, space, rest, and has conditions that makes things complicated. It's none of our business what he looks like, none of our business what all his conditions and phobias are, and none of our business when he gets around to things or even ever comes back!
We should respect his boundaries and his rights and enjoy what we got and be happy with anything more we get from him.
I love his work but know he needs to regain his spoons and work with what makes him comfortable even if he just quits.
I just hope he finds hope and a good way to cope with his conditions and can enjoy his life.

Most people with crippling and sometimes terminal illness and disabilities will often appear to be the brightest light in the dark, they don't want to get lost in their pain and they don't want others to feel the way they do.
It often surprises people when they're no longer with us, especially at their own hand, because "they seemed so happy or they had everything" - people don't realize just how much the most pained of us actually mask our problems just so nobody will worry, and it shows when they stop enjoying and later producing content entirely, or inconsistently at best.
It's dehumanizing to see a human being as nothing but a source of entertainment or objectifying them, hating them for simply being unique individuals is selfish, every person has the right to privacy and respect.

100% agree. My sister's boyfriend was also one of the most chill people to hangout with and always made you laugh. He overdosed, we never really saw it coming.

Also the fact that ppl just can't let him live without hating on him or being super creepy I can def understand why having the world know you in such an identifying way would be so scary for a dude that grew up as a normal person only dreaming for success and not preparing for the reality of what that would mean. As someone that's been following Corpse for years ( when he was just a story teller) seeing how ppl treat him kinda sucks, the over baring demands to know who he is, what he looks like, ect... is crazy. I've watched many faceless youtubers over the years and the way ppl act toward them has never made since to me when they make demands for their personal information.
I thought something similar when watching his 2nd interview with Padilla, when he mentioned not being able to answer the phone to direct Postmates delivery drivers to his home. He should put a note in the instructions that he's mute, or hard of hearing, and to contact him by text for instructions.
@@mannafortheears I would say that he should just live as someone who took a vow of silence for whatever reason because that's basically what you're kinda describing. Actually, the whole plan for him to pretend to be mute is terrible because if he’s ever found out the backlash would be 100x worse than anything he’s ever experienced before and I don’t think he’d come out of that shitshow in one piece (if he did at all).
Considering his health issues I suspect ASL wouldn't help his situation too much... what with the difficulty he has with his nerves and arms.

For the pretending to be mute part, he could probably do selective muteness (or non-verbal) I know someone who won’t talk to irl people but is okay with talking for into a mic and things like that.
I will always love him no matter what he looks like. He saved my life twice when I was at my lowest. I get shit on all the time in public because I have issues with my vocal chords, making my voice deep as well. I can empathize with him. If I could give him a hug and tell him I love him for everything he has done I would. It's unfair that people like him have to go through this. I hope he and Felix are still talking to this day. They always made each other laugh, their chemistry was unmatched back in those days. Felix is much older than Corpse so when one day Corpse said he can't wait till Felix joins them, I can't help but think he looks up to him like a big brother. Except that Felix was the "whiny little brother" LMAO. It was chaotic but so much fun. He needs to get well for real, hoping for his recovery.
He's the kind of guy I want to hug.. behind that laugh and his amazing deep voice, I feel like he's broken inside. How he has mental and physical illnesses, how he is judge/hated even for breathing, Isolating himself and has to deal with all of it alone. I hope he gets better soon. Must be super tough because even if he doesn’t show his face, in public his voice is kind of his face. I feel bad for him dude i also struggle with anxiety and it’s not easy at all. Idk what he’s up to nowadays but i hope he gets to a place where he feels comfortable streaming.
He doesn't deserve the hate he gets. He's honestly such a fragile person, but he's so strong for putting up with this for so long. If I were in his shoes, I would've broken down and quit all together. I hope he finds something to soothe himself, I just hope everything gets better. I hope Corpse is okay wherever he is and in whatever he is doing. While I am curious about what he actually looks like, it is nowhere near the list of things that's important.
All I want is to see Corpse play with Sykkuno, Valkyrae, Toast and everyone else again... to hear him laugh and enjoy himself. But, as someone who is dealing with mental and emotional problems, I understand that things can get overwhelming on top of his physical health.

Afraid of being forgotten but at the same time being afraid of being recognized.
I honestly wish I could just tell him directly its going to be ok, I wish I could for a lot of people struggling. Everyone deserves to at least enjoy some aspect of being who they are.
This corpse guy seems to be pure. It’s his toxic diehard immature fanbase that changes his reputation and those are not necessarily haters, but these overprotective simpy easily-impressed stans.
Corpse is an awesome guy and very empathetic to other people. He hated that normal looking people were being called ugly and berrated for his sake. He hated that people focused on such superficial things.
People (or should I say 12 yo girls) never cared about him. They cared about his voice and dreaming him as the prince charming. If they cared, they would know for e.g. that his voice wasn't naturally that deep. That tone came from damage to his esophagus caused by severe GERD, which he suffered from. If you listen to his old voice, you'll notice he sounds quite normal. I'm certain that people romanticizing something which in reality was a problem for him, bothered him a lot. He probably didn't get his meds because of the pressure he could have experienced of losing everything he has.
I think he made the right choice by quitting youtube or taking a long break. I still wish he will come back one day after he is completely healthy and read horror stories.
Poor Corpse :'( he doesn't deserve this. no human deserves this honestly. Humans suck a lot sometimes.

I just recently heard his voice for the first time. It's one of the most beautiful voices I've ever heard
I listened to both his music and any among us videos with him talking I think his an awesome guy and a sweetheart I don't care if he keeps his face hidden I understand what it's like to have serve anaixy its not fun
There are two ways to get out of this double life.
1. Show his face and accept any and all backlash. Which is hard for him i get it.
2. (Extreme measures) take all of your socials and internet presence off of the internet. Which Is also hard for him. As its one of his ways of being himself and making a living.
actually insulting someone you have never met or seen has to be the most pathetic thing.. let him live his life and you live yours.
No matter what corpse looks like I believe he is beautiful in his own way. I like his voice not gonna lie he also seems like a pretty chill dude and a funny person

I’m stuck in a not so great environment. He’s such a good guy, he doesn’t understand how much his existence matters. Whenever I think of who I wanna be a lot like, it’s Corpse. I constantly view Corpse in awe. I adore his good heart, it never ceases to melt mine.
I love his horror story videos, I guess others never watched his much earlier videos but I never got the obsession over his voice and face.. I understand how that can really mess with a person mentally and emotionally so he deserves to live as a real person and be left alone

As someone with agoraphobia, I can understand the stress of not wanting to leave your home. It makes you waste your best years away because the idea of simply leaving home is too scary and exhausting. I get why he's so scared of others, but it's probably much worse considering he has to deal with horny 13 year olds on the verge of throwing a tantrum if he doesn't look like some stud. Honestly, I say he can take as much time as he needs from doing streams and stuff because I can't imagine how badly he needs to take a break of some kind.

The best result comes from not expecting anything. Just taking it in as a surprise. And with that surprise, take it all in for what it is and appreciate it because it rarely happens twice.

i dont blame him especially with the situation that just happened with dream. The face reveal of dream was so negative that someone already dealing with self doubt and disdain for his appearance would not be able to take that.

I miss his horror stories it didn't matter he was masked or not it was fun watching him gain friends it's very heartbreaking he went or is still going through this I hope he some how gains peace and love from family and friends and be himself and not listen to the cruel people of this world.

Then, I started watching his personal livestreams and the popularised gaming streams as the 'introduction' to him. It's not hard to imagine the kinds of pressure this man is under, and it's even sadder to think that he hasn't done anything to deserve this much negativity (or obsession) from anyone.
I really hope he has someone in the real world who can support him with his physical and mental health. Everyone needs support from someone.

I few friends of mine became streamers. Twitch affiliates to Twitch Partners and all that. The change in their behaviors, their VOICES, was immediately noticeable to me. I love Corpse, and I get why he's not posting as much. He's tired, exhausted, and suffering. If you ever read this Corpse, I hope you're doing better, enjoying life, and smiling often. Tbh at first I only watched his videos and streams because of his voice, but as time goes by I just love how sweet he is, I like how he interacts with his online friends, how funny and goofy he is, how smart he is whenever he's playing, his talent at writing songs, I just love his whole personality. My heart really goes out to Corpse and any other people who feel they aren’t enough or feel they can’t be themselves. As a person who as been there I will tell you all that 1. You 100% are enough, anyone who says otherwise was never truly your friend to begin with. And 2. It dose get better once to start being true to yourself, you don’t have to do it all at once either. A little goes a long way and you can totally start with just a few people at a time (close friends, family, and people you trust). Take your time and trust most importantly yourself. There is always going to be someone who speaks or thinks negatively of you, but the people who see your true worth of you being you and being happy will always be there for you through both your brightest and darkest days.

I have not really seen much of corpse but with the little i know i can tell he needs some time to himself. Everyone needs their time alone. And honestly nobody should be having to worry about being recognized or being judged i hope he will eventually get better and live his life with out worry in the future
Health is the very most important thing, both mental and physical. I really hope he gets help, no one should have to live alone and in pain. It's time for him to love himself and take care of himself. His face has nothing to do with his content and even if he was standing beside me I'd never connect his voice to his online character. I may tell the man beside me he has a beautiful voice, but even that is unlikely. I do not know him, but his situation is very unhealthy mentally.
