As an Airline Pilot my philosophy was always to "plan for the worst and hope for the best" and to this day its how I plan for a really remote adventure.
With butterflies in my stomach letting me know this would be an adventure, we proceeded deep into the Owyhee Canyonlands. The two and half hour journey on the dirt road would test me, the truck, and the Pando like never before.
On the arrival into Succor Creek I realized immediately that it was Succor Creek that I was supposed to see. The incredible rock formations and roaring creek would have been a shame to miss. We camped out about two miles past the main camping area and recovered from the brutal day.
