Yeah, that one time. Aside from the Tomahawk toss in that episode, all he did in the original run was spout Lodge exposition and just stand in the background. I like Hawk as a character, and Michael as an actor, but there wasn't a lot for him to do in the earlier seasons which thankfully season 3 rectified.
Michael Horse is a very good actor and he plays the role of Hawk masterfully! Surely Hawk turns out to be a good guardian of the law, a man of big moral and human principles!
I agree that she was spectacular, absolutely. like a supernova. But she wasn't in it for quite long. Her show up and scream at the start and her show up and scream at the end. Hawk drives about 1/5th of the plot of the return

Hawk was one of the best continuing factors brought over from the old show. Michael brings so much life to the character.

I'm not saying I didn't want Robert Forster to be part of the show but Hawk really should have been acting Sheriff.
