@@TomleyRC had a question about this transmitter about failsafe option how does that work with a electric brushless rc? Will it work if transmitter loses signal will it stop the rc from keep running and crashing or how does this work I have limitless and want to use this transmitter with it but scared jus cause of its high speeds and if it loses range or something happens to we’re failsafe doesn’t kick in what do I do for it to work properly
I ordered one of these at the start of lock downs to upgrade some of my cars and have something for speedruns. It's been great so far. Still have had a chance to test full range but I will soon. Thanks for the video!
@@TomleyRC That's one of the main reasons I settled on that one back in April. Took a month and a half to arrive but it was still the best option for me. Range, micro receiver (for custom 1/24 build) and 6 channels for use with my Dynahead as I add accessories. In any case, it was cool to see the range in use. Hopefully I'll get to test mine out soon too. Cheers!
While at the quarry: Professional recording equipment + large LED light + GPS speed recording + amazing new Remote controller with tons of functionality = High tech overload! *drooooool*
@@TomleyRC by the way dunno if you've made the connection long story short my "The Dumpy Dustman " channel is dead at the moment. So its me still here buddy!
Wow, that's impressive as heck, that might be upgrade radios if I need for my rc cars, not that I use more than 3 or 4 channels, but the range does that it feels safe
Great testing, dude! Really nice! 😃 Did you ever do this to other transmitters? A series like that would be fantastic! 😃 But I really think it would be much easier with FPV... Because you could always see where you're going. 😝 Anyway, stay safe there with your family! 🖖😊
FPV would be cool to use on this. I've not done a range test before. Might be worth trying the Dumbo RC ones.. they are meant to be good for about 400m I think
Cool.. I was thinking about getting a new radio/reciever with a lot of range. I've heard that dumborc was good for long range but now I may look into the radio link. Great video
I had an RC6GSV2 to race dirt-oval with. It cut out 3 times in one race... sending my Salvas Mudboss into the wall at full-throttle. I had my endpoints set correctly, and even had a capacitor plugged in... still lost signal. Sent it back... buy a Spektrum.
ive been a sub for a few weeks now i found you by getting into toy grade RCs ive been into the hobby grade for years but i like getting toy grades an making them hobby grade
I just got a Dumbo RC radio. I only had it out 2 times so far but it performed great. I don't know exactly how far the range is but I was at a local baseball field and I was at home plate and my car was in center field.
I just want to thank you for taking the time out of your day to respond to my comment. That shows that you really appreciate your viewers, and I truly appreciate it. You and Kevin Talbot are the reason I got back into the hobby, but you are the only UA-camr that had taken the time to respond to my comments and I truly thank you for it
G'day ol son...... i dont think this piece of kit gets the luv and recommendation it's due. The flysky GT5 has done a more manicured 2020 Stick, but just doesn't have those 7 channels and more under the hood. As well as the RX line like R6F non gyro, R6FG and the R7FG have extra, like all these have voltage output of 3v-12v and 3amps for your a accessories! Plus so much more. For sub $100usd you get everything you will ever need for the next 5 yrs and if ya break it.....buy another, its not like ya bought a "Spectum or Some Futaba" worth $300-$500usd. Cheers m8 from a Crawler brother downunder!! p.s. sorry for the rant i just like to give extra info to help educate on these not so well know brands, that are so underrated.

Really awesome transmitter, but the painted brittle plastic makes it feel "cheap" It would be much nicer with a medium density black plastic and no paint.
Hi Tommy. I dip in and out quite a bit but I'm not a sub. You ask why so I'm gonna tell you. It's because if I watch more then I already do I'll be homeless. I don't have the funds to buy all the stuff I want that you review. But what I am interested in I come watch you because I respect your opinion. I hope this helps. Cheers from sunny California.
Most of the time I forget to sub. You should remind ppl sometime in the middle of the video to sub. Not at the end by that time I'm going for another video to watch.
Best transmitter review I have ever seen!

This one would be GREAT for a FPV exploring type of rc car :)
Yes, that would be awesome
That is a excellent review 👍 you really nailed it ! I am definitely ordering this next week 😊 thanks for your upload mate 👍🙏
Ok ok new sub here as I've just ordered RadioLink RC6GS V2 with the R7FG.

haha...I don't know what half of them are either
Thats a cool tip about the Flysky GPS. I have one ordered and I want to test the range of my transmitter too. Nice.👍
I have this same radio and several other radiolink radios. Imo they're great for the price. I used/tried others but still go back to my radiolinks, lol

it's worthy, we always keep updating new function for our radio!
I have heard a lot of great things about radiolink lately, if I didn't already have so much FlySky stuff I would probably switch over
Yes, they seem to be popular
Perfect for fpv!
Nice. I love Banggood and Aliexpress.
Fpv camera would really help 👍🏻

thank you

Amazing! Have you tried installing FPV on the radio Tom? Thanks
No Ian, not yet

Can I just swap radio/reciever?
Would it require a bunch of calibrating & stuff?
Ok, I've ordered a RadioLink RC6GS V2, now how do I rain proof/water proof this? Thanks.
Is it possible to put this traansmitter on wpl D12 and attach fpv camera on it?
Yes we need that far since people started to put fpv on ground rc
Really awesome transmitter, but the painted brittle plastic makes it feel "cheap"

Ah darnit, I just got the V1 a week ago, oh well.
V1 is still good. It's the receiver that gives you the extended range
@@TomleyRC ah nice, can the v1 bind to the new receiver though?
V1 also amazing
Good to use with fpv goggles
Yes, that would be cool to explore the Quarry
Hahahaha I was just thinking to myself, what happens if it gets 600m away and gets stuck. Still keeps you fit eh? 😆👍😆👍
haha..yeah, I edited out the 3rd...fail
Does Ch5 and Ch6 (the metal switches above the steering) go back to centre when released ?

Yes... perfect

just so happens i was looking for a couple of new radios and i think i have found them
Ideal!
@@TomleyRC sure are phil a refreshing change from flysky
Can you please explain how the DB range works? If its -76 DB does that mean it's far and close to losing signal?
Speed runs and boats likely could use that kind of range, little overkill for a crawler though.
Yes... not needed for Crawling... although FPV exploring ;)
we added cruise control function for crawler, it has steering mix control, voltage telemetry and more function in RC6GS V2.
1600ft is madness I'd never see the car

Is range affected by voltage you use?
I don't think so
u ask for the subscribe , i subscribe . Good video mate
Why don’t it come with updated firmware?????
That radio looks like the copy cat of a Spektrum radio here in the states. www.spektrumrc.com/Surface/Radios.aspx
hmmm... not sure it looks like any of the Spektrums?
👍👍💯
