I love this! Especially the neon colors! I have used my credit card to spread one color at a time but never a couple. I will definitely try this! I also love the stripe of color as the focal point! Lovely page!!!

I recently started with art journaling (well, I try to make something that looks like it...), I'm the type that wants everything to be more than perfect, from the very first time, so this is really way out of my comfortzone, which is actually a good thing ;-)

Very cool results! I have often done scrapings from my palette to journal pages to give them a start and use up extra paint. Those pages can pose an extra challenge when I land on them months later and wonder what paint I used! But it's also what can excite me and spark new ideas.
It's so weird. I was in Arizona for 6 wks and while there I bought those exact same Americana paint colors in Phoenix at a Hobby Lobby. I am moving to Cottonwood, AZ (very near Secdona) in January and we were getting our house partially set up in Nov. I love those colors and love what you did with them. No, I've never tried that technique, but I will when we get all moved in just because I love the colors together. Beautiful, serene spread. Love. Jane

I do paint scrapping all the time... LOVE IT. .... But not with such light colors... May need to try a similar color pallet. I tend to get stuck in darker Blues and greens 😉

I have found that if you work in your journal from the front then the back, front then the back, then you don't get that hump. It keeps your work evened out.

Don't laugh, but I TOTALLY misunderstood the title of this piece...I thought you were going to scrape OFF paint from a substrate and THEN USE the scrapings on another substrate! LOL! (or have I given you a new idea to try?! LOL)
