"She's finished now. Nope. Not yet. Ok, NOW she's finished. Wup. Not quite. Ok. Now. Nope. Wait--NOW. Uh-uh. Well, she HAS to be done NOW. No way! Ok. She's gonna keep going. Yep. She did. Betcha she'll be done after THIS. Nope. Not quiiiiite. OK NOW SHE IS DONE!" What we said during most of the video. 😂 #talkaboutLAYERS! 💚Lisa and Regan💜
We actually loved it - but it was definitely two videos in one!😋 And Regan used it as a process video (the “second part”) and made the prettiest page! She says it’s her favorite so far and that’s saying a lot since she Arts every day and is churning out a lot of makes. 😄
The music made me think I was at a funeral and as you progressed, I decided that I was! 😲 LOL! But after a nerve-wracking period, I decided I liked the final result. Whew! Good on you to power through! 👍 TFS🤗
You just beautifully made two journal pages only on top of one another. Both looking beautiful loved them both and will definitely give them both a go. Thank you once again for sharing. Cheers cherieK 🦋🌈🐿🇦🇺
Love the roses and the text, but I also loved the beginning process with the circles. They're both pleasant. And as others have mentioned, it's wonderful to see an artist change direction according to whatever is happening serendipitously. I love that freedom you give yourself. It helps me to realize that I don't have to beat myself up over something that didn't pan out as I had imagined it would go. For me, that's a very beautiful lesson. Oftentimes, I'm too hard on myself... and that's no fun. Better to keep moving forward. Many, many heartfelt thanks to you, my sweet. 🤗
So many of the steps were so awesome I hated to see you cover them up but I also like the finale! I thought I was watching the wrong video from where you started to where you finished! LOL! In the end the artist has to be happy with her piece!
Love the finished piece, also loved the initial one you were working on. Love how you just moved forward and nice that you showed it's not a mistake even if it doesn't turn out like you originally thought or intended.
I love the versatility of art journaling. I loved the first image, and even if the 2nd one didn't work the way you wanted it to, you made the transition to the end result look so easy! Icing on the cake-the end result is beautiful! No more ripped out pages for me! I get it! 👍🏽😄
I gasped out loud when you covered that gorgeous work with gesso! Cant tell you how many times I've gone too far and wrecked a great piece. But it's still beautiful and full of color-just different! Loved it and it was fun to watch!
What! No paint splatter? It's the only possible thing left,😆 Still stunning, I enjoy everything you do, and seeing even someone with your experience doesn't have a plan makes me feel encouraged.
Was going great guns till you attacked it with gesso ,I thought! Then what!!ha great fun watching you go though ,I switched on to see how you did the flowers really, clever effect xx
They need to add a warning label on gesso bottles: "Never use gesso while on drugs. Disastrous events may occur." My mouth was hanging open in shock for most of this video lol.
Absolutely amazing! It's gorgeous obviously, but what impressed me is that u were able to cover up layers of great stuff. I would have stopped there, but your courage to cover it and continue is amazing. Totally awesome. Beautiful work and inspiring to is all!
Your final artwork is awesome, but I would have stopped at 19:34 ,and used this as a background. Your final peice ,covers up fabulous artwork in itself.
You made me so nervous! I loved loved loved loved the first page, so much I did a screen shot. When you kept going I thought oooooh boy but it turned out just beautiful! That one got a screen shot too! You do beautiful work and your mistake certainly let’s us all know that anything is fixable! Thanks
At first, I was like, "Where is she going with this?" Then, I was like, "ooooo, that is a LOT of gesso." Oh, then I saw it was a goof. Then I was confused with the change and the dripping paint and then she covered it with white!!! Then....I thought she was done after adding the flowers. And the layers just kept piling up. It was a beautiful finish and boy do you have patience!!! I had a similar experience and it is my best piece yet. : ) Love the Vid!!!
Bella Rose Creative I tried my first project today, inspired by this video. I am so glad you let us see how you handle a mistake because I had to cover a goof myself. I might have thrown it out had I not seen this. 😬
I love it but i also loved it before you changed it too. I wish you'd kept it as it was and started a new page for this one. Thank you for sharing and keep up the great work :)
I liked the finished piece but not sure you should call it "easy" when you take so many steps that are eventually covered up just to get there. It certainly didn't look easy.
Beautiful as always but would have loved the beautiful art work covered to have been seen a bit more, felt a bit sad, however, your work your vision.thank you for sharing.
I loved watching you create your page. It proves that sometimes something can start one way and end up totally different than planned. I really liked your quote at the end, it fit your page very well. Do you just type out favorite quotes and then cut them up to fit your page? I need to do that! Thanks for sharing!
What did you use to add the small white circles at the 5:51 time? The video was on fast forward and I could not tell what kind of instrument you were using to make that size circles.
Oh, wish you hadn’t taken that left turn at 6:38 … but you still ended up with a very nice page … well, actually THREE great pages, one on top of the other
I enjoyed your video. The final piece was lovely, and I've wanted to learn how to paint that style of roses. That said, it seems more like a process video, not a tutorial. The latter usually includes explanations of the artists choices and techniques so that the viewer can learn. I would love to see that. I'm new to your work and will browse your library to watch more of your work.
The end product was wonderful but so were layers 1 thru 99. I would love to see you recreate this page and stop where you applied too much Gesso and knew it.
I don't see the point of so many layers when most of them are covered up. Especially along the edges of the pages. You must have marked them at least 5 or 6 times. But it is beautiful.
The end result looks really nice but I know it could have been achieved far faster without covering up previously acceptable pieces of work. That was a lot of steps and a lot of effort done and redone. If anything this is a demonstration of how to play with supplies and not know exactly where it's going to take you but this is definitely not a tutorial on how to get this end result with three roses.
What a fantastic idea....the credit card for the line work......So creative, LOVE IT!! xx
For me, this is true art….letting yourself experiment and not being inhibited or fearful.I enjoyed the process!
"She's finished now. Nope. Not yet. Ok, NOW she's finished. Wup. Not quite. Ok. Now. Nope. Wait--NOW. Uh-uh. Well, she HAS to be done NOW. No way! Ok. She's gonna keep going. Yep. She did. Betcha she'll be done after THIS. Nope. Not quiiiiite. OK NOW SHE IS DONE!"
What we said during most of the video. 😂

💚Lisa and Regan💜
LOLOL! This video was a mess. =P It was one of my first. =-D
We actually loved it - but it was definitely two videos in one!😋
And Regan used it as a process video (the “second part”) and made the prettiest page! She says it’s her favorite so far and that’s saying a lot since she Arts every day and is churning out a lot of makes. 😄
Loved the first spread and the second is beautiful too! Wow!
The music made me think I was at a funeral and as you progressed, I decided that I was! 😲 LOL! But after a nerve-wracking period, I decided I liked the final result. Whew! Good on you to power through! 👍 TFS🤗

hahaha Thank you so much!!! ♥

Love the way this ended up. I'm glad that you included the whole process!
I was loving all the polka dots! And then they were gone! Fun to watch!
That's exactly right! Thanks for watching, Debbie!
I love the versatility of art journaling. I loved the first image, and even if the 2nd one didn't work the way you wanted it to, you made the transition to the end result look so easy! Icing on the cake-the end result is beautiful! No more ripped out pages for me! I get it! 👍🏽😄
Yes, so true! Thank you for watching!
I love the combination of pink and green together. It gives off such a happy vibe!
Beautiful but I couldn't understand why you covered the beginning up with gesso, it looked so lovely. but all in all great work.
I like the piece you ended up with, but I like several of the ones you painted over, too. What a process!!
Art is such a journey, loved all of those "pages" within this completed look. The music was perfect too.
Thank you, Debbie!
WOW! I’m exhausted just watching but beautiful, as always!
Both pieces of this were amazing. Loved the process so much 💜
Thank you so much!
Love the final results, beautiful, thanks for sharing!
Crazy and exceptionally stunning
I loved watching the process and how you took the drips to a different conclusion without ripping out and starting over
I'm mystified how your channel isn't blown up yet! Seriously brilliant, fearless art!
Thank you so much!!! ♥
Fabulous! Your process was amazing to watch. Thanks.
Loved it all! It’s like life, it’s a process!❤️
MAGNIFIQUE BRAVO 👏👏👏👏👏👍👍👍👍😉😉🌷🌷
Great page from start to finish. =)
That plot twist was crazier and more unexpected than the one in From Dusk til Dawn
Very pretty..🌺🌺🌺..👍👍👍
Wow I love watching your videos you work with awesome art supplies and colours so cool.
wonderful page and transformation
I gasped out loud when you covered that gorgeous work with gesso! Cant tell you how many times I've gone too far and wrecked a great piece. But it's still beautiful and full of color-just different! Loved it and it was fun to watch!
I know, I really loved the "before!"
the saying is so true. I love your work. Thank you for sharing. I have watched several of your videos this morning. I have enjoyed them all
Thank you so much for watching!! ♥♥♥
Mega schön!!! 😍😍😍
You created sooo many cute backgrounds girl.. you covered them up lol... Noooo... But the end result was just as beautiful
What! No paint splatter? It's the only possible thing left,😆 Still stunning, I enjoy everything you do, and seeing even someone with your experience doesn't have a plan makes me feel encouraged.
I am speechless!
SO RELAXING TO WATCH YOU CREATE & MY FAVORITE CREATIVITY MUSIC!!!
Thank you so much!
Was going great guns till you attacked it with gesso ,I thought! Then what!!ha great fun watching you go though ,I switched on to see how you did the flowers really, clever effect xx
I love watching your process and I learn a lot from seeing how you choose your colors and designs along the way. This came out so beautiful.💗🎨🌸
You're so sweet, Pamela! Thank you!! 💙💛💜💚
They need to add a warning label on gesso bottles: "Never use gesso while on drugs. Disastrous events may occur." My mouth was hanging open in shock for most of this video lol.
LOLOL I know, I loved this page before the gesso disaster. Oh well, live and learn. 😋
Absolutely amazing! It's gorgeous obviously, but what impressed me is that u were able to cover up layers of great stuff. I would have stopped there, but your courage to cover it and continue is amazing. Totally awesome. Beautiful work and inspiring to is all!
awww thank you so much, Susan!!!
Very pretty! Love the final result and some of the in between parts as well!
Thank you very much, Karyn! 💙
Always comes up beautiful in the end but I thought the brilliant dot pattern you did before the roses was amazing too
Thank you, Cindy!!!
Beautiful! Love the result!! I enjoyed the whole process ;)
Thank you so much!
What I just learned was there really are no rules! Just start and enjoy the ride!
Exactly! ♥
Your final artwork is awesome, but I would have stopped at 19:34 ,and used this as a background. Your final peice ,covers up fabulous artwork in itself.
you are very talented, I love your style.
Such a sweet comment! Thank you, Gloria!
This is beautiful and very inspiring. I also love the music! :)
Thank you so much, Pauline!
You made me so nervous! I loved loved loved loved the first page, so much I did a screen shot. When you kept going I thought oooooh boy but it turned out just beautiful! That one got a screen shot too! You do beautiful work and your mistake certainly let’s us all know that anything is fixable! Thanks
Great page. Love seeing you use the Intense pencils and sticks. I have them in my stash and need to use them more.
Thanks for watching, Beth!
At first, I was like, "Where is she going with this?" Then, I was like, "ooooo, that is a LOT of gesso." Oh, then I saw it was a goof. Thanks, Greta! This was one of my very first videos and I was pretty clueless. LOL
Bella Rose Creative I tried my first project today, inspired by this video. I am so glad you let us see how you handle a mistake because I had to cover a goof myself. I might have thrown it out had I not seen this. 😬
Well all in all it came out quite nice..
No.Words. 🥰🥰🥰
Beautiful!
Superbe bravo merci 👍🦋🦋
so cathartic🌸
I love it but i also loved it before you changed it too. I wish you'd kept it as it was and started a new page for this one. Thank you for sharing and keep up the great work :)
I agree!
These are my 3years old daughter comments : "look it's a flower. It's so beautiful. So many colors"
+Srividya T awwww so sweet!
Layering....learning how important the background is. This is the tricky part of mixed media. Do you prefer smooth or textured watercolor paper ?
I liked the finished piece but not sure you should call it "easy" when you take so many steps that are eventually covered up just to get there. It certainly didn't look easy.
Wow got two for the price of one . Awesome thankyou I learned a lot
I love this....took a long time...but I like the outcome.
Beautiful as always but would have loved the beautiful art work covered to have been seen a bit more, felt a bit sad, however, your work your vision.thank you for sharing.
I totally agree! lol
I really liked both looks! Too bad you couldn't have saved the other but that's the funny thing with mixed media huh? That said great job!
Thank you!!!
Beautiful, but didn't see that coming at all.
I loved watching you create your page. It proves that sometimes something can start one way and end up totally different than planned. I really liked your quote at the end, it fit your page very well. Do you just type out favorite quotes and then cut them up to fit your page? I need to do that! Thanks for sharing!
Thank you so much! Yes, a lot of the quotes I use are just printed on my printer. =)
I enjoyed it all! Tfs
I am so in love on all your videos 😊❤️🇳🇱
Thank you so much!!! ♥
This is really beautiful!
Thank you so much!
Lovely page! tfs!
Love this.
Thank you, Ana! 💜
What did you use to add the small white circles at the 5:51 time? The video was on fast forward and I could not tell what kind of instrument you were using to make that size circles.
That's a good question. This was 4 years ago so I don't really remember but it looks like a pen cap or something.... Sorry about that!
💕💕💕
Oh, wish you hadn’t taken that left turn at 6:38 … but you still ended up with a very nice page … well, actually THREE great pages, one on top of the other
💖
I just love your videos
Thank you SO much, Trish!
I enjoyed your video. The final piece was lovely, and I've wanted to learn how to paint that style of roses. That said, it seems more like a process video, not a tutorial. Thank you for watching, Lisa!
vey pretty
you could have made it say things always work out in the end. HE! HE!
Yeah! lol Thanks for watching!
Love this but miss the original now missing elements....confuses me.
The end product was wonderful but so were layers 1 thru 99. I would love to see you recreate this page and stop where you applied too much Gesso and knew it.
🌺🌺🌺🌷🌷🌷♥️♥️
I really liked it till 6:28. But I'm glad you toned it down ;) Love the flowers :)
Thank you for watching!
Oy vey, loved how it started, this is unfortunately some of the things I do, I go too far.
I would have stopped at 4:50
Much as I like the finished page, I think I liked it more at the stage before you added too much gesso and intense blocks- just my opinion. X
I loved the background before the to much gesso
I don't see the point of so many layers when most of them are covered up. Especially along the edges of the pages. You must have marked them at least 5 or 6 times. But it is beautiful.
Finished pc nice, but all those steps before drip paint was lost and cant be enjoyed as well!!
Finished piece not as interesting as where you were going in the beginning but is still nice.
