The charge controller is an issue for me. 20amps with a max of 50v on the input side means you're limited to something like 400w of panels. That means some lengthy and likely incomplete charging for 200-300ah batteries. The controller needs to be 40amp and good for 600-800w/100-150v panel input. I also wish Licitti would just simply give a simple, clear number to express the actual internal dimensions of the battery compartment. They have drawings with dimensions but those dimensions literally have an asterisk next to them with no explanation. They should make it idiot proof and just give a clear answer. I'd buy on of these for my 300ah Varter, but I can't get a response as to fit.
EDIT: I realized after my comment that a 300ah battery in it's case will not fit this box. I can't understand why the makers of the Licitti as well as many other battery boxes don't size their boxes to accommodate the industry standard battery sizes without disassembly or using raw batteries. Seems short sighted.

Thanks for watching and your feedback! I understand what you mean and I had similar thoughts. Since I'm building my own battery pack I was not thinking about other 200/300A 12V battery packs but you are right - they are bigger. The unit itself is already bigger. There might be other batteries coming pretty soon which you can buy with more capacity and might fit - test outstanding and I'll keep the channel posted on this. Regarding the MPPT -I'm already searching for another unit anyways so I will try to find a unit which fits the unit and has more Amps.

I have one question. Since this box has a 20A MPPT controller and it is possible to connect a solar panel with a power of about 250W, is it possible to first connect a solar panel with a power of 600W to a Victron MPPT 100/50 controller and then from that controller to connect to this Gen2 box via Anderson input/output port? Would that charge the 280Ah battery with more power?

The original Licitti battery boxhad only a 10 amp MPPT controller. This Next Gen box was supposed to be an improvement on the original. It has less ports and at $438 is more than double the price of the original.😮

Yes, that's kind of true! I try to find a way to solve this. I just had the issue with too little Anderson connectors, too

My box was charging fine for 5 days now no charging is taking place. Anyone else have that issue.

Mine works fine. I do discharge the battery via inverter a lot and charge it through the Anderson connector with 20 and 40A charger without issues so far.
How do you try to charge it?

Well the same unit worked fine for 8 hours for me the next morning i woke up to a double beep sound every minute with the AC inverter on or off have you ever dealt with that and is there a particularly way to diagnose this or is it a good time for a warranty replacement, FYI I only had a portable radio connected to it and the battery shows 96%.Thanks for any advice ahead of time.

I returned mine since it was poor quality. I would try the warranty in this case... Sorry to hear this!

I would like a 200 amp battery that could fit in without assembly

@@NikosDelight Maybe such a battery could work: amzn.to/3O7Et7A It is "only" 180Ah but the form factor seems to be similar to the battery I was putting in. At least a quick check.

@@tobisreallifeskillswithtobi It looks like it could and it seems small enough i will order one when i find the actual internal dimensions off the 2000 series vs this size battery.

@@NikosDelight Just measure yourself before ordering! I did not have the time to do so. I hope it works! I would test this as well when getting my hand on one 🙂
