omg! this method is so clever and it saves a lot of time! I've been doing it with the genric model tool and it takes me a whole hr! thank you so much I just made louvers in 10 mins
I wanted to do wood slats but I all the ways I thought up were clunky and had issues. Curtain wall is in the end so obvious and genius. Thank you so much!! Have to check out all of your videos now!
From architect "it's quick to build, only takes 10 minutes". I'd love to hear what the wood construction worker says when he receives these drawings about how quick it is to build IRL =) The actual trick is to do something that looks very nice (not dull) yet is quick to "build". Maybe for something like this Revit should be able to output digital instructions to CNC etc machine that would cut those wood stripes exactly in correct length and number them THEN it would be very easy for construction guy just to line those up!
Hello BA! Im a huge fan of your videos and it helped me A LOT as an architecture student thank you so much!! Also, im wondering if you know where of how to get the empty system panel I can't seem to find a solution to I can get it. Thank you in advance!
Oi mate, 1 year late buh this is the solution. You get the way BA change the verical mullions to wood? Go there but this time; curtain panel-system panel-(make a name). Mine is Empty. So for the material use Air. Go back to normal edit type and there you have it: Empty. Genius?
Great. Very useful. I wanted to ask you how you would suggest that this type of wall can be made to be curved in plan and inclined vertically at the same time? Thx.
Great tuytorial thank you. I want to create walls made out of fixed width panels (for example a cold store constructed from panels 1190 wide) - do you have anything that might cover that please? Thanks
Encountered a problem, when I edit the wall to the frame I want, a message is received "Can't make type "M_Empty Panel". and forces to return the glass
Very nice. How would you make openings for windows, Door, Louvers?would you create grid lines outlining these elements and make the "panel" some thin default wall to serve as a host for doors and windows/louvers? Is there a better way?
everything worked well until i made the roof by extrusion and in the section where the panels were cut it said can't use type empty system panel so it just fills it with a glass panel on top. what's the solution?
How can i set this up that the horizontal and vertical beams do not cut each other, but run straight through? I want to create two stacked layers of wood.
Hi! Can you give me some advice? I can't find my empty system wall panels. I've look on properties and editing curtain wall. Do i need to download this family? If so where do i download from?
I just found this in a forum and it works! :D Try it 1. FAMILIES > NEW 2. Pick (template) file METRIC CURTAIN WALL PANEL.RFT 3. FILE > SAVE named for example EMPTY PANEL 4. Click LOAD INTO PROJECT. Good Luck

Ofcourse this will take too long on actual construction even with the process u mention with CNC. He just mean its quick build in REVIT only.
Thank youuuu!!! This a big help for my project XD

I'm in 2022 and I don't have the option for Empty System, and I can't change mullion types. Any suggestions?
Can i thank you enough for this tutorial?
Nice one, Now demonstrate roof structures with a curtain wall, will you also show another method to roofs in order to show which method is fastest.
You are amazing - thankyou!!!!!
what happens if we don't have a 50 by 60 mullion is it okay to uses a 30mm squared mullion or a circular mullion

How do I apply this to a wall with standard windows and doors so it cut them automatically?
This is really smart you should upload it to revit city.
Thank you!
Thank you! This was awesome

Thank you! Help a lot all the time. But got a problem here this time, how can we change the material of the mullion?

+1 have you found a solution?
I don't have it as well and honestly I don't know what to do
very useful thanks!!!!
thank you bro
Thank you.
very good
Thanks a lot
Can we apply the same system to the ceiling?
no, if you want to make something like this on the ceilling you could use a curtain wall by mass
Thanks mate...really clear and simple to follow
everything worked well until i made the roof by extrusion and in the section where the panels were cut it said can't use type empty system panel so it just fills it with a glass panel on top. what's the solution?
Hi, thank you a lot. its possible that you show how to add a door?
Can you edit profile the curtain wall if it's curved? I can't seem to do it on mine. Thank youu!
thank you sooo much!!!
when you hide the roof it's still there no? so when it comes to detailing or moving things around it still has to be there?
How can i set this up that the horizontal and vertical beams do not cut each other, but run straight through? I want to create two stacked layers of wood.
hey bro i dont have (empty system panel) on my revit how can i do it???
just change the material of the glass to "air" in families and make the thickness 0.1 so it doesnt come in your rendered view
u can even load family of empty panel and try
@@tanviashok8880 not a right way.. there should be a family there named Empty panel and load it..
@@theminimalist9882 Okay that works, but when i cut the empty element, it replaces it with the old standard element. Any idea how to avoid that?
Hi! Can you give me some advice? I can't find my empty system wall panels. I've look on properties and editing curtain wall. Do i need to download this family? If so where do i download from?
have you found a solution?
This can be too late but to fix this you have to load empty system panel family located the curtain wall panels folder in the libraries.
I'm using revit 2024 and I don't have these options I just have the sizes. Do you know how can I do the wood?
perfectttt
I can't find "Empty" in curtain palel
I just found this in a forum and it works! :D Try it
1. FAMILIES > NEW 2. Pick (template) file METRIC CURTAIN WALL PANEL.RFT 3. FILE > SAVE named for example EMPTY PANEL 4. Click LOAD INTO PROJECT. Good Luck
@@emanuelmora9072 thanks man i love you 😂
i couldn't find "empty system panel" from the options. what shall i do?

Amazing
