Dude thanks so much for this video I had to replace mine too and there weren't any useful videos on how to remove the TXV on a 4th gen till you posted one
Just curious why you thought it needed replacing, I’m going after mine because the vehicle isn’t cooling like it used to, and the ac compressor is running non stop and my gauges are reading good pressure 43psi on low 250psi on high side even added a little Freon an my pressures raised to 50\290 and compression still wasn’t cycling on an off so now I’m going after that expansion valve.
@@ericdavis219 I replaced my compressor 3 times and they keep dying, and the pressures on the high side are higher than they should be in addition to the AC not cooling unless the vehicle is in motion on the freeway
I just did the evaporator replacement and honestly it’s not hard just time consuming and if you are going to replace the evaporator replace the heater core while your at it

You could have a bad fan clutch or condenser issue, or it’s getting over charged.
I’ve got a leaking evaporator, can I get around removing the dash for that?
You could temporarily bypass it but to fix it right I believe the dash would need to be removed
Looks like your stuck pulling the dash.
