- We had a great night away at Donnewell C&MC CL at Sedgefield, County Durham. We took a trip into Sedgefield and had dinner (or tea) at the Dun Cow Inn where Tony Blair hosted George Bush in 2003. Also take a look at the car boot sale held on Sedgefield Racecourse and the Sedgefield Farmers Market as well as Hardwick Park which is just of the A177 near Sedgefield.

Another good video! We are following in your tracks to some of the locations you have filmed and enjoying them all. Thanks
Morning Paul, that’s so nice to hear that we are helping someone. Thank you 💕 I think there are some lovely places round here 💕 Rachel
Great video- especially like sites within walking distance of a town. Thanks 😊
Thank you Fiona. I like sites where you can walk to places too. Even better if they are Roxy friendly 💕
Good video David and Rachel. Roxy was eyeing up that hot dog 😀👍
🤣🤣 you are right she was eyeing it up 🤣🤣 did she get some? Of course she did 🤣🤣 💕
Sedgefield looks really nice, the food looked good from the pub👌 Always good to know there’s a car booty too😎👍 Thanks for sharing, Em xx 😘
Hi Em, It was lovely and the food was tasty and reasonably priced we thought too. The car booty is normally quite good with a good few stalls there - well worth a poke around. All the best, David & Rachel ❤️
The booty is normally huge depending on the weather, if you coincide with the farmers market it you have a good few hours out abs some bargains too! Rachel 💕
@@LeisureBit sounds like my kinda day out Rachel 🤭 Thanks for the tip 😎 Em xx
Nice CL with a good walk to the village, great for dogs by the look of it. Thank you for taking us along. ATB Mike and Donna
Thanks very much for this very nicely put together and informative review. We're planning to head for Britain (Yorkshire) for the summer and will be getting the van out of storage and setting off. Donnewell Farm is exactly the sort of site that suits us - a CL with hardstanding and serviced pitches ... One of our regular trips is to the North of Scotland to visit family graves, and are thinking of spending a day at the Beamish Museum ... so Donnewell Farm could be a great place to stop over. It looks great in your video - thanks again.
Thank you for the comment, appreciated.
Pleased it was useful.
All the best,
David & Rachel 👍
Great informative video. We have never stayed at a CL so really good to see one. It looked lovely. We don't know why UA-cam unsubscribed us from your channel but we are back again now, it was quite a surprise to see the subscribe button as we subbed weeks ago. It's a mystery sometimes, thanks for sharing the video! 😍😍
Welcome back 😀 - pleased it was useful - there are some amazing CLs with a varying degree of facilities - some of them beat mainstream campsites! We are trying to do a mix of sites so will have some more coming up very soon. Have a great weekend - all the best, David & Rachel 👍
Lovely quality CL site and such good value too. Nice views. Convenient for Sedgefield too. Very quiet walk down the lane. Rural yet close to everything. Hardwick park looks well worth a visit. Easy to spend ages there! Watch your hotdog! Definitely fancy going there 👍😊🧙♂️
Hey guys new to your channel!! Love your van!! Your vlogs look fun!! Looking forward to checking out more!!
Thank you … I will check your channel out too 💕
Looked like you had a good weekend David & Rachel, I love a farmers market. Cheers K.
Thank you Karlos … the farmers market was excellent, really great produce. I do admit to liking a booty too! 💕
Love Sedgefield, a beautiful little village not too far from anywhere, but you could still be miles from anywhere, i love it :-) All the pubs are brilliant and dog friendly. The C L Site looked a lot better than i expected tbh, but was nt really sure what to expect i suppose, another site ( prpbs one of our first) we will be going to while we get to the van, again, when it come :-)
The site exceeded my expectation too… (Rachel) the pitches were big. Sedgefield was lovely, and so nice that there are so many places to chose from. 💕
Any news on your van?
@@LeisureBit Not at the moment, asked them to ring me last week, but nothing, will see what June brings, hopefully good news :-)
Looks like there was lots to do. Take care Gill
Thank you Gill, great site lots to do 💕
Hi guys, been watching a few of your vids and really enjoying them, quite a few on my doorstep (Thornaby) I enjoyed this vid too, although I do think the site is a bit overpriced for a cl without any toliet or shower facilities ? Thanks for sharing 👍
Thank you for watching. Oh Thornaby is close by! (Used to work there) Fellow North Eastener 🙌 it wasn’t cheap but you can get a grass pitch no electricity loads cheaper. I loved the walk to Sedgefield as it’s such a busy foodie place! 💕Rachel
That looked like a great place to stay. Do you have to pay for access to the dog walking field in addition to the site fee, or is the fee only payable if you not staying on the site? I would stay there just to let our dogs have access to the field! Thanks for another great recommendation. We’re off the the Isle of Wight and the New Forrest at the weekend. Thankfully we have several stops on route there and back! 😁
Morning! There are 2 fields and they are £8 an hour which is really cheap, however they are booked up in advance. I noticed that they last appointment is 7pm and the first is 8am and being a bit cheeky went in after the last one and early morning before the first appointment. 🤣
Ohhhh that sounds a lovely trip … I would love to go to the Isle of Wight … I went when I was 5 and still remember it… enjoy 💕 Rachel
@@LeisureBit that sounds very reasonable our dogs would love those fields😁
Loving your videos. Like your coffee table made with the chopping board. Can I ask if you use a 29” leg with that or 27”. Looking to do the same 😀.
I just found your video in tables 😀. Very helpful. Just need to wait for chippies to get some stock of the 29” leg.
Thank you so much for your lovely kind comments Sarah 💕 Glad you found the video with it in. I do have to say (but don’t let David know) it is the most ingenious use of the chopping board and a perfect little table for a couple of glasses. The flat back bit also makes it sit nicely against the back doors! 💕
Rachel & Roxy 💕
