- Professional match of StarCraft 2 played during the $500,00 tournament IEM Katowice. This match is between Clem, one of the greatest Terrans in the world, and Stats, a Legendary Protoss. Clem decides to play this game so passively, that despite his massive lead Stats manages to get Sky Toss out with a Mothership.

Also, Mothership cloaking getting nerfed was a stupid decision. Midgame Zerg and Terran always have detection, they should have just left it as a constant aura like it was before.
This is what happens when you have a balance council that makes changes off of whim not logic.
I'm only a Diamond player so it probably doesn't amount to much, but I did ask for the "Khaydarin Core" upgrade at the Fleet Beacon that doubles the Mothership's energy regeneration rate, like the revamped Caduceus Reactor. I do wonder if it's worth doing a similar thing with the Infestor and Pathogen Glands (but also reducing their starting energy back to 50), as it means they won't be dead weight for as long after getting EMP'd and may tempt players to try using Microbial Shroud.

Allow me to introduce you to the ghost lowko. This is a terran unit that out-ranges, out-dps's, out-heals, out-moves, and out-tanks the templar, that can render the templar completely and immediately useless at 1 single touch of 1 single button, it can also snipe the templar from extremely long range, which oviously kills the slow templar from very far away. Oh also it cloaks.
Its quite difficult to keep templars alive actually.
Theoretically with perfect play I think one could load the Templar into a prism before they get sniped(though this of course requires having a few prisms, which is supply that ain't doing much else in a defensive late-game scenario), or maybe feedback the Ghosts, but yeah for an actual human player Ghosts kinda just mop the floor with Templar. And Archons. And Zealots. And they cut your army's durability in half with about three button-presses. And your only real counter is either to dive them with Stalkers or Zealots(both of which result in your units getting wiped out by all the other units in the army, and the Ghosts can just cloak or use their surprisingly good autoattacks to kill 'em anyway) or to use Colossi, which Vikings absolutely annihilate. Or theoretically Disruptors or HTs with perfect micro but that ain't happening

...feels weird writing a comment that comes off this salty, but man I hate EMP and the unit it's attached to.
Ghost is best unit in the game hands down. Infestors as strong as they are can't compete. Templars are the red headed step child
@@TrixterTheFemboy With that many viking that clem made prism is useless.
I think it would be cool if the mothership had a super battery ability that turned it into a mobile super battery. That way you could get a couple seconds of offensive super battery before losing 300/300.
or the ability to activate it on a nearby shield battery without it having to be a nexus... so like a mobile nexus for in the field shield batteries? might bring back some proxy stargate rushes too but youll need a mother ship for them now

Yo Lowko, I don't play this game but I am watching your streams for years. The latest balance patch seemed to destroy protoss games. I don't know, but the protoss race looks like a helpless jokes in TvP and espacially in TvZ. Only in PvP it is interesting, but even here: Loss rate is 100%

I'd love to see vikings go up in supply. I feel like they are one of the strongest air units, and the ability to mass them and still have space for ground army, or liberators makes mass vikings really hard to counter play.
Or they just turn into the ground army against Protoss with their bonus damage to mechanical. It's painful.

Colin The Accidental Cyclone could do it...by the way, did you know there is a list of tropical cyclone names that includes names for 6 years? At the end of the list it is repeated, so the cyclones of this 2024 have the same names as those of 2018. 🤷♂

Is a mothership really a good idea? Yay, let's build something that costs tons of resources, dies pretty fast, and where you can only get a single one.
Makes me wonder what it'd be like if they gave it a bit more survivability, maybe make it immune to viper-yoinks and let it cloak itself with the field? Though idk how much that would help it in PvT

May i just note how stupidly stupid it is that launched nuke can be cancelled? Love how lowko says how terran units do this do that better and how protoss units cant deal with landed vikings... how ghost dps is huge how protoss lacks vision... but still balanced game haha... why does terran basic flying unit beats all flying units of protoss? and can land and deal with 50% of protoss units... why? imagine to reverse it... imagine we would had voidray that can deal in 1:1 with everything and also land and kill all marines and marauders lol
The problem with them is how many you need to do anything effectively. Blink stalkers can run away and they get wrecked by zealots.
How is it more stupid than letting a nuke land? You do realize they have to pay 100/100 & wait another 43 seconds before they have another nuke, right?
Clem is rank 4 in the world and Stats is rank 29... I'm not sure what you were expecting from this game lol.
@@hivetech4903 Huh? I wasn't talking about nukes, nor did I say anything about the match which Clem would be a clear favourite for. I was talking more about landed Vikings.
With nukes, you can always have multiple Ghost Academies if you're worried about waiting for the next... And letting them land regardless of opponent action is stupid. You can't let YOLO nukes go unpunished. Queue up 5 ghosts to nuke 5 bases simultaneously and not cancelling them when killing the ghosts is absurdly unbalanced.
@@J6hn I never replied yo you - did you see an at sign with your name in it? I was telling the OP that there is nothing stupid about being able to cancel nukes.
If you actually think that building 5 Ghost Academies is a viable strategy at pro level you are living in an alternate reality. Maybe in your team games its possible, where everyone is awful and skill means nothing lol.
@hivetech4903 Thought you were the same guy soz. And I've landed some filthy nukes in my sad mid-diamond existence. It's probably more fun down here fighting in the mud.
