I am Pakistani Hindu and I lived there 21 years..
When I was growing up there, I hardly saw any temples there,
so I assumed it’s normal there, but later it was found that thousands of temples have
been vandalized there, for our safety my mother didn’t let us go..
If you google recently they demolished lots of temples ..
Now there are only few temples left..
And here in Bhaarath, they cry over even giving back a legit temple built on a mosque

Beautifully narrated with so much feeling and sincerity. Its sad and such a shame to see such historic monuments defaced, abandoned, destroyed and lost by people who share the same culture historically!! These monuments of the past must be treasured for all time!!!
I have to point out that this presenter has taken a very divisive take on this site insinuating that religion is the cause of the affairs of this place. I understand that it gets her more views for the video, by enflaming the public with a divisive religious slant to the story. She has no proof of what she is saying but it helps her cause to create outrage!
The real true fact of the matter is that ALL historical sites in Pakistan are in grave danger.
This was demonstrated recently by a British Pakistani who visited Pakistan to highlight the serious nature of the problem.
He has produced a catalog of videos on YT at each historical site, some going back thousands of years. They are all severely neglected and it was devastating for him to see the decay and apathy of the government on this tragic state of affairs.
There are many times that this British Pakistan is very emotional and almost breaks down, to see the sad state of affairs of all these sites. Currently, Pakistan focuses on a handful of sites at best and the rest are completely left to the elements with no protection at all.
And It is clear that this British Pakistani does not see religion but the history of the region slowly washing away because of total neglect. And it is like he weeps for each site regardless of the religion of that site, but of its significance in history of the region.
He kept saying over and over if India can do it so well with almost all its archeological sites, why can't Pakistan?
In his videos he was trying to appeal to the Pakistani government to spur tourism like India does, so that they can generate revenue to save all these important places in history for the region.
And to be honest it is very appalling to see the condition of all these rich historical sites, just boarded up and left to decay to the elements. It is both shocking and tragic! They had one settlement that is thousands and thousands of years old, and it had one caretakers who asked for money has he has never received a salary. This is beyond tragic, as it means looters can bribe him and haul away all these precious items on the site. It is just mind blowing to see the complete aparthy of the government. It is almost criminal!!
Once these structures are gone, they are gone forever.
I wish i could remember the name of the British Pakistani but hopefully with the information i have provided one can use search in UA-cam to find his well produced videos. His melancholic voice is perfect for the narration of the truly tragic state of affairs for majority of these historical sites of all religions in Pakistan.
If the two governments can work together, and if the Pakistani government is not too proud to say they need help, and allow the Hindus in India to preserve the Hindu monuments. The Indian government should approach the matter very great sensitivity for the best outcome.
It is so clear that Pakistan does not have the resources or the know how and capacity to take on the many archeological sites. They would need to hire a ton of archeologists to work on all these sites.
If the countries could come together to save these sites for the good of humanity it will be a step in the right direction.

It is heartbreaking to watch this historic temple and religious heritage site and university into turn into a coffee shop .
It wasn't only a historical temple but also one of important pilgrimage site for Hindus. This is equivalent to replacing Mecca Medina with a coffee shop. It's sad that the world is allowing this to happen. This is the reality of the world we live in. Jaishankar was right! The Christocentric or rather Abrahamocentric world believes that the problems of Europe are the problems of the world but the problems of the world are not the problems of Europe. I said Abraham centric because had this been the case with mazzid then the media all over the world would have portrayed MusIims as victims for weeks, months or even years.

Nobody erasing the structure infact they are building a coffee shop side by side. I have seen canteens and even toilets inside temple compund in Himachal.Even i saw ppl cooking meat and offering wine bottles to god. what is big deal if Paxtan building a coffee shop there. 👎

Witnessing the inauguration of the new, much smaller Sharada Peeth on the Indian side many months ago, with the chanting of Vedic hymns by the guru of the Sringeri Sharada Peetham, invoked a sense of peace in the viewer. The Devi's divine presence, re-established on the Indian side of Kashmir is a spiritually significant event for all Hindus and for Kashmiri Hindus, in particular.
Although the desecration of the original revered Sharda Peeth in PoJK is a sad happening, as is the destruction of Hindu temples in Pakistan, it's not only a loss for Hindus but also for Pakistan. The original, historical Sharda Peeth in PoJK must be declared a UNESCO World Heritage site. But religious extremism in Pakistan seems to be so high that it doesn't seem to matter to them that they are also destroying their own heritage. Anyway, Pakistan has always been a country that never understood its own identity, not to mention a disregard for its own ancient pre-islamic history and knowledge! Even the Taliban in Afghanistan now seems to want to preserve its pre-islamic artifacts and historical sites.

Indian Gov don't even care to protect temples here in India. Heavy tax is levied on Temples and temple funds are being utilized for public road maintenance and flood relief .

I can but only feel helpless knowing all these are happening currently. I can only pray that these ignorant people realise their mistakes. Learn religious tolerance and keep peace. Thinking abt how bustling our temples would have been those days, the number of revered scholars who had gone to these temples.. how beautiful and spiritual it would have been. all our ancestor’s hard work and devotion is what created all these beautiful majestic temples in India and now Pakistan.
