Thank you for watching and commenting. I am working on collaborating with some other folks to do more different videos. But in general, Start with the things you are able to do and have fun.
Sorry to hear that walking is an issue. Appreciate you watching the video and commenting. My apologies for the delayed reponse as I have been out of the state for work all of July w/o much down time and internet access.
@@KidneyJourneys I have shared your video to mom 😊 to motivate her. She had to under go angioplasty as well and on observation. She has improved a lot. We are waiting for discharge and to continue with dialysis routine .
I've been on Hemo the last few months and have been able to do stomach exercises (when im not on dialysis). If i change to Hemo, are all stomach exercises (e.g. situps, scissor kicks) ruled out ?
My apologies for delay in replying, had some issues accesing this account. Hope you have a great holiday season. For hemo dialysis or home hemodialysis, typically the dialysis access on the arm, therefore core exercises around the abdominals would not normally be an issue. Some PD patients may develop a hernia or have issues with their dialysis access with CORE abdominal area or may develop a hernia if work outs are too streanous.
Hope your dialysis treatments have been going well and you are feeling well enough to do simple exercisers like in my videos. I was at end stage, peritoneal dialysis 7 days a week with no kidneys when I made these. So I would say, do what your comfortable and have energy to do, as much as you are able, for as long as you are able. If you mean if PD is the right modality - I would watch the other videos for knowledge and then discuss with your own nephrologist (doctor) about how you would prefer to do dialysis and what are available in your own country since it may vary.
@@09onammtaamut Different modalities and each individual will have different needs and frequency of dialysis. Typically in the U.S. In center hemodialysis is 3x per week. HomoHemodialysis may be presribed 3-5 days per week. PD may be prescribed 5-7 days per week. PD and HHD may seem more dialysis sessions, however keep in mind that native kidneys do the work 24/7 without us thinking about it internally and there are studies which indiciate more frequent and slower modalities of dialysis decreases mortality rates of the patients on dialysis, in addition to the added benefit for some of a less restrictive fluid and diet restrictions while on dialysis. Hope this gives some insights into what I think may be related to your question about "7 days dialysis" above. If not, please elaborate or rephrase your question or comment. Thank you.
Please I need more exercise tips. I'm a dialysis patient with polycystic kidney diseases. Keep to good work up and stay positive. Thank you
