Scott is a brilliant man and visionary. He was promoting renewables in the early 70's on Capitol hill before anyone even thought of the opportunity. He also was a founder of SEIA - Solar Electric Industries Association - Happy to see him there. Excellent presentation.

This talk is awesome! Thank you so much for sharing. about 65% of it went way over my head, but I was able to grasp the main point, I think. It made me feel hope:) Thank you.

      Pakistani Magnet Motor!
      Water Hammer!
"Info Yourself" UA-cam Channel, I'm sure there's a little inexpensive free energy device that you'll want to build and show off! The more people that do this, the weaker the stigma wall gets!

Would the battery storage in the walls be kept within a firewall, as storing high-capacity batteries can be a fire hazard (lithium ion specifically can be a nightmare to put out.) I like the idea of incorporating renewable power, though it will also produce other issues (such as water availability as mining for minerals is extremely wasteful with water and introduces toxic minerals, and may not be feasible to develop for the population and resource demand that modern society is accustomed to.) Society will require a complete change no matter what even if it doesn't create the utopia we envisioned.

I'm excited to see people in these areas... but... @6:55, Scott is talking about putting Li-Ion batteries in between the studs of walls in your house. Has anyone thought about the dangers of this? I mean, drilling a hole in the wrong place takes on new levels of fire-starting fun, plus if one degrades and starts to fail, smokes and catches fire, how are you going to throw it on the lawn, outside of the house? Nah, there some good ideas here - but that battery in a wall thing is NOT a safe thing to do.

we don't want cheap energy ! we will still destroy all our ecosystems. we want expensive energy so that we are motivated to conserve it- energy conservation is the easy, fast lowest cost way to make energy! the tech solutions are dependent upon low cost energy- there is no such thing and cheap energy. what we want used to be called "appropriate technology" LOW Tech that saves or eliminates the need for pollutive energy.

Sounds great but most homes in the US are of simple construction from those that live in multi million dollar homes to those that live in rented substandard housing, Give me energy from thorium before I have to spend multi millions of dollars on high tech homes. By the way I wonder if you checked out the levels of radon gas in your expensive high tech model home. You might be surprised at what life threatening problem you ignored. Well insulated homes generally have more radon and thoron radiation problems.
