Getting to the Start Line can be the BIGGEST challenge

You don't know what's going on in a persons life that's led to them standing alongside you at the start.
I wasn't feeling great and so I was going to pass on running this Sunderland City Runs event
But running and its community always makes me feel better so I dragged myself to the start with no clue how I was then going to run 10k.
The mission was to take the pressure off and just get round.
Even this became quite the challenge.
When you've finished a race don't ask people what time they did. Ask, was the course everything you hoped? That way the runner doesn't have to try and then validate a potentially slower run.
Its not about the course and the time.
Its about the people and the experience
