My fave art supply is the Pentel brush pen - its tip is an actual brush with bristles, so it can produce lines from super thin to nice and chonky, and even make brush strokes. It also uses cartridges that come in four colours and means you don't have to throw the whole dang pen away when it's finished. I use the black - it's super black and archival. Much recommend.
Great art supply video. I recommend the White Uniball signo pen in ‘fine’ for making highlights. I really like it for water droplets. It is very hard to find.
I have the Jackson’s art quill in 10/0 and it’s actually amazing 😍 the bigger one looks gorgeous there, so I’m a bit tempted to get a bigger one too. Completely agree with the gelly roll gel pen! I’d heard so many people rave about them and was really disappointed when I got them, I’ve found though that they just need to be layered a bit, 2 or 3 layers and they’re lovely and solid white ☺️
So glad I found your channel. Can5 go wrong with Faber-Castell Castell. I use water colors, mission gold pure pigment, or any honey based water colors, and many different brands of soft pastels. Just got Caren D’Ache Neocolor 2’s… thx for your video! New subbie! Lots of great ideas! I think I need that Stillman and Burns sketchbook ( Beta).. Thxs girl ! 🙏🏻👍🖌
Amazing!! Thank you so much 🥰 they all sound like amazing art supplies, sometimes it's too hard to choose what to use when there are so many beautiful ones! My favourites change all the time!! ☺️
I wonder, do you know about the Tombow Mono eraser? You can get amazingly fine detailed highlights with that eraser. I love it. I also use Winsor & Newton's white calligraphy ink with a dip pen to get fine highlights back in my watercolors. Of course I use white gouache too to get some highlights back as well. I also use Winsor & Newton's masking fluid but I love the one your using and may just get some to try out myself, thank you very much for the recommendation. Great video, definitely gonna sub to you!
Did you ever find a concertina sketchbook that had better quality paper? So far I’ve only really found the seawhites which is only cartridge paper or they’ve got the ‘octopus sketchbook’ which is still only 220gsm cartridge paper so I’m not sure would hold much wet stuff although reviews comment on it being good for painting. Also what good value but can withstand a bit of mistreatment (ideally gummed) watercolour paper would you recommend? Ideally Not surface. Either that or a mixed media which could be used for watercolour and doesn’t resemble the smooth bright white of a cheap GCSE sketchbook. I’m kind of finding it hard to narrow down what to get for mixed media (sketchbook or paper pads) that’s primarily going to be started with watercolour but could go all the way up to alcohol markers and it’s harder when making those decisions online or in a shop where the pads are sealed anyway. So far I’ve just been using what I have lying about/can pinch off of my mum but that hasn’t really narrowed it down because they’re all over the place brand/media/texture wise. A paper video showing all your sketchbooks/paper pads would be useful content I’m sure!
Hi Gemma i have also had trouble using those white jelly rolls pens, instead i use the Posca pens you mentioned and sometimes i will use Uniball white ink pen, it's has a good ink flow at least in my experience :) great video!

They sound so good!! Thanks for letting me know about them 😊
White gouache for highlights in watercolor. A kneadable eraser is essential.
Both really good must haves!!

Thank you so much 🥰 I've heard really good things about the uniball signo pen. I'll have to keep an eye out for them!
Amazon have a great selection of signo pens..in all colours.🥰🥰
I’ve really been enjoying gouache (acrylic and regular). I also really like Liquitex soft body!
Oooo yes, I'm also a fan of Liquitex, although I've only got the heavy body!
Great recommendations 😊
Glad you like them!

Glad you found it helpful 😊
I love the Paul Ruben watercolours! 😍😍😍

The Jackson's quill brushes are so good! Go for it, the bigger one is so beautiful to use, you won't regret it 🥰

I've heard the Uniball white pens are very good! I'll have to buy some 😊
Great ideas, personally I don't like the posca for highlights, I prefer to use bleedproof white from Dr ph Martins with a brush x
I'll have to give that a try! 😊 Thanks!
