Did she ever think of maybe keeping Stanley in her apartment and not letting him roam the streets? Did she ever hear of a litter box? It's safer than having your cat run around the city.

Miss Paisley adopts a stray cat. She names him Stanley. Stanley sneaks into the room of the violent tempered Mr. Rinditch. He tells Miss Paisley to keep the cat out of his room, but she fails. The cat sneaks into his apartment and Rinditch kills it. When Miss Paisley finds out, she grabs a knife to kill Rinditch, but she has second thoughts. She sits down and falls asleep. In the morning she wakes up wearing different clothes. The knife is also missing. She discovers that Rinditch has been stabbed to death and that a janitor has been charged with the crime. She is convinced she is the murderer but the police don't believe her. The janitor is later convicted and executed. Miss Paisley then discovers Stanley's collar. She remembers the murder. She did kill Rinditch and threw her bloodstained clothes and knife into a river. She now does the same thing with Stanley's collar so that no one can trace the crime to her.
Women love cats because they are like the men they love; independent, unapologetic, unpredictable. Men love dogs because they are like what a man wants his woman to be; obedient, loyal, somewhat dependent. In addition she was a neurotic needy old woman. She didn't need a cat she should have gotten a bird. At the end she displays typical woman behavior; no accountability, claiming that everyone is against her, playing the victim.

The first 20 seconds was a true ASMR trigger, especially the cat purring
I love how people carried themselves is these old shows, nobody's pants are hanging , and the women are dainty.
SO TRUE.
I mostly view British movies. Wholesome, not full of violence, prim and proper English and normally filmed in elegant homes.
Love these old series

I have a cat just like Stanley who wanted to roam into neighbor's house more than mine

I know. He seemed like a sadistic sort who was just itching for any excuse to kill that poor cat, and she unfortunately handed it to him.
“I’m concerned he might have injured your dog.” Just like my little panther, he runs the neighborhood. Dogs cross the street when they see him 🐈⬛ 🐾
