- Born a slave, to be heralded as the chosen one and one of the greatest jedi to have ever lived, Anakin was an extremely powerful being adept with the force as well as being one of the best duelists of all time. In this video I talk about how powerful Anakin was with regards to legends as well as canon sources.

Anakin was so powerful yoda himself should have just been his master and showed him to the light side more.
Yoda is one of the reasons he turned dark. Telling him to ket his loved ones die and feel nothing about it. And in the last season of clone wars yoda had a vision of the birth of vader when fighting Palpatine and let him win
@@ChillerCrow yeah but you have to remember Obi-wan was the one who trained him & Qui-Gon trained him. They weren't the most traditional Jedi. They werent as strict with Anakin as Yoda might've been, really instilling their values & ideas into him better & teaching him to center his emotions and attachments instead of letting them run wild the way it did with Obi-wan. I might be wrong tbh because obviously its all hypothetical but Im pretty sure Yoda would've been a better Instructor for Anakin. Obi-wan had more of a big brother/besy friend role than Mentor.
@@es_three232 when you look at anakin, he is basically a rebellious teenager who has a hard time controlling his negative emotion. He would have had more issues with the dark side half of the prophecy is Yoda were his master because Yoda would try to forcibly suppress it or kill anakin before the latter could become a possible threat. So Yoda would have been a God awful master for Anakin.
No Mace should have trained him because he too understood the dark side and Anakin would’ve related to him more than yoda

Anakin as the chosen one with equal affinity to light and dark wouldn't have been comparable with that form. He should have stood above it like The Father. In summary, Mace suppressed his emotions in an attempt to forcibly control them and that couldnt be what Anakin would use which is a perfectly equal understanding and mastery of both light and dark side power.

Imagine if he had the full strength as Anakin but with the skill and knowledge he later learned as Vader.... it'd be Emperor Vader and the Rebellion would have been destroyed. Palpatine wasn't the greatest military person, he's manipulations were more political/personal, whereas Vader/Anakin could pick apart armies.
So, in real life, a brute is no match for a politician. The best generals is usually just a tool for the king.

I think it was mention as a "What If" scenario to the people that made the Mortis episode, if the Son did escape with Anakin?
Sidious and the Jedi would have sensed it, calling for a truce together to all fight Anakin because he was coming to destroy them all.
So you can imagine Yoda, Sidious, Dooku, Maul, Mace, and others engaging the Anakin/Son fusion.

The moment the Son showed Anakin his future, he was aware who the Sith Lord was, how the Jedi were "evil," his future suit, everything.
This is why Anakin's memory was wiped before leaving.

It's crazy and, scary if you think about it for a moment, Anakin at full potential would be savage, yet, after the beating by Obi-wan, he was never the same and still, look at what he had achieved as Darth Vader, he was still a force of nature, it's unimaginable what he would have been, at full potential and, nothing holding back what would have become an overwhelming power in the force.

The Jedi failed him. Because they didn’t properly train him and learn what driven him mad. I think obiwan truly wanted to but lacked what was needed to do so with young skywalker was just as powerful as he was. Yoda should have or it mace was more patience could have.
I don’t think Mace would’ve been a good choice. Qui Gon was the perfect Master for him but unfortunately, Maul ruined that chance. The next best choice would’ve been Yoda.
nope, it was ultimately the code and the jedi's way of life that killed anakin from inside out. The no attachment rule, along with other things the council did, slowly made anakin fall further away.

Not only was anakin the most powerful of his time but I consider anakin to be the greatest of all time. If a prime anakin and luke battled one another anakin would destroy luke, he was more powerful in the force and a better lightsaber dualist.

Anakin was able to do things Luke couldn't dream of even as a kid, and before someone ask what I'm talking about, its simple, let's take them both at 9 year old, more vensure that Luke knew nothing of manipulating the force as he really didn't even learn about the force until he met Yoda and he was in his teens by that point, now let's take Anakin/Darth Vader at nine years old, didn't even know about the force and yet he was manipulating it to win pod races, and he'd only gotten better when becoming Obi-Wan Kenobi's Apprentice, he'd become so adapt at the lightsaber that his only loss as Anakin was to Count Dooku which Luke at the same age would have been murdered, again he only got better, fast forward a bit, he slaves Count Dooku by himself, Luke was very powerful but, if you put him against his father, both in their twenties, Anakin would have decimated Luke without question.

You're exactly right. Just because Annakin had a higher potential, Luke was a better human being. He was not ruled by emotion, so his training was more guided and thorough. Annakin was like trying to drive a top fuel dragster through a swamp.

In the RoTS novel it tells us how Anakin’s biggest fear is that being the best wouldn’t be enough. He knew he was the best and he still worried he wouldn’t be good enough. The book also tells us that that fear inside of him takes the form of a giant cold dragon of a dead star reference the fear the felt when he first found out that even stars can die. The dead star dragon takes form within Anakin and in his dreams.

Ultimately the Jedi lack of understanding of concepts like duality (yin yang) contributed greatly to the fall of the order and the rise of Vader. Had they been willing to sympathize with a hurt and troubled youth this could have been avoided

His potential was utterly ruined in the Jedi Order. He could be a lot, LOT more powerful. Palpatine was, sadly, right. They feared him, that's why they hadn't tought him as good as possible.

Something a lot of people seem to forget is that he lost a big chunk of sis midichlorians when he lost his three limbs (because he lost a huge part of his blood volume), and that made him much lesser powerful than he would have been with all four limbs.
And Anakin never actually reached his full potential either.
They need to expand on how during Anakin’s slaughter of the raiders Qui Gon gave to him as a force ghost and tried stopping him. I feel like that would be an intensely emotional scene

Some people say that legends Luke is more powerful than legends Anakin. That makes no sense. This is why:
There's this, monster, lady, titan, thing? Known as Abeloth who Luke had to fight. Luke was one twelfth of Abeloth. The Son and The Daughter were each one half Abeloth. Anakin defeated both The Son and The Daughter at the same time without even using that much effort.
So basically Anakin is >12 times Luke.

No Anakin is still the choosen one and the most powerful ever. Also much of Rey's training actually comes from her force bond with Kylo Ren. They're connection allows him to see her memories but it also let's her see his knowledge of the Force and training. But their connection also makes them extremely powerful when fighting together.
Because the Force was out of balance in the prequels with the lightside dominate the Force made it harder and harder for Jedi to increase in skill because what the Force needed was more of the darkside. In the sequels the Force is yet again out of balance this time with the Dark dominating over light. Which causes the exact opposite to happen, the light is much easier to learn and control than the Dark because the Force needs more light.
Also, It's possible Anakin is helping Rey learn and fight. I love that idea. In TFA Kylo reaches for the saber but so does Rey and it goes to her which is where it needed to go. But in TLJ they both reach for it and because neither of them is stronger than the other it splits in to. What if, only that first time, Anakin influenced it two go to her? So Rey had help from the choosen one.

No, perhaps a fanfic, but the old EU was largely considered canon, blending together very well. As such he always is and has been Darth Vader.
Of course since the Disney buy out, tge old EU has been declared non canon. Anything released since 2012 when they bought out Lucas films is official, including the movies, shows, books, comics, and games.

I wished they had showed his powers in the force a little more in the movies. Like for example stopping blaster bolts with the force, lifting huge objects maybe even star fighters or even a fricken warship.
My favorite character in all of star wars. 2nd is Vader. I feel he's such a relatable character to myself. Full of passion and love, but also so much anger. That when hurt we can destroy the things we love the most, the things we've sworn to protect. It's all about checking your anger and keeping it in place. Great video!

I just realized that what happened to the Father, Son and Daughter and their timely deaths foreshadowed the future. The Daughter sacrificed her life and died first. The Son eventually died followed by the Father mourning(not sure if he died).
Anakin turns to the Dark Side, destroying the Jedi Order and after a timely manner of decades, the Emperor was destroyed balancing the Force.

When Anakin tried, they both knew it was coming. Anakin was just so arrogant he thought he was good enough to make it work. That's why obi wan begged him not to do it because he had had the high ground. He knew if Anakin jumped, he'd seriously injure or kill him.
Long story short, Anakin was too new to the sith Kool aid and paid for it

Anakin could have became the greatest of all time possibly even stronger than Palpatine and even Yoda. After the fight on Mustafar he never got any stronger and had to rely on his battle experience and creativity to overwhelm his opponents

I think that anakin was over rated. The jedi council only allowed Obi - One the right to train anakin because they believed that anakin was the chosen one. You would have thought that between the time that the prophecy was made, and the appearance of anakin before the council, the jedi masters would have thought of tests that could have been done which would confirm or reject those whom were thought of as the chosen one. If such tests did exist, it makes me wonder whether these tests would have accepted Luke as the chosen one over anakin. I guess we will never know.

Considering Obi Wan is one of the least Force sensitive Jedi Masters, why wouldn’t Yoda, or even Mace Windu have been his master?
He literally went to Yoda for advice on things rather than Obi Wan, because Yoda is by far the wisest of all the Masters.
If Mace Windu would have been his master then he would have taught Anakkin to walk the line between the light and dark side. Mace was one of the few Jedi to ever be able to do that.

Anakin was certainly powerful, and I only wish that Vader hadnt been restricted. He couldve been way more powerful. Anakin was not the most powerful jedi though. He simply lacked the knowledge and self control to truly shine.

Prior to Episode 3, Master Yoda holds the #1 Rank & Title as the Strongest. If you include the latest episodes 7 & 8. Luke Skywalker died as the most powerful Jedi in the history of the entire order. If Anakin had survived his encounter with Obi-wan unscathed, he would have grown more powerful than Mace Windu, Master Yoda & Palpatine. Obi-wan was equal (more or less) to Anakin in ROTS. Both Master & Apprentice were Level 9 Duelists. The highest level a Jedi Knight or Jedi Master can achieve is level 10. Both Mace & Yoda are Level 10 duelists.

Both Skywalkers were equal to The title Master, however Luke was far stronger than his father at the same age, & far more humble. Luke went down as the Strongest Jedi in all history (canon) via Episode 6. You might not like Luke in 7 & 8. But it is very clear how ridiculously overpowered he has become. And this is nearly a decade or more from Luke without any training. I’m not a big fan of how Luke turned out in the newest series. But one thing is clear, Luke is Number 1 based on feats from Canon Alone. Relying on the E.U. is a cop out. Is a million long lore of Power piled upon Luke alone. No other Jedi Master was ever given such a platform. Not Yoda nor anyone before him. Either you’re all about the E.U. which expels u from this conversation. Or you find out which version (canon) of Luke Skywalker is the Strongest. One or the other. “You must choose” Palpatine voice.
death1045678 9 Trash means the person in question is so weak, they don’t even deserve to be in the top 10. Luke Skywalker in either canon or E.U. Is O.P. The E.U. version is basically Superman Prime. Then canon L.S. is still a far cry from “trash” (weak) bcuz he is ridiculously strong.
