And here I was thinking about ancestral spirit reincarnating the spell power totem to get a bigger crackle; he still would've had lethal, but it would do 1 less damage, didn't even think about repositioning the flametongue.
***** I liked how he saw it almost instantly. His opponent tapped and he immediately said "did I just win?" My head didn't register the win until he was almost finished with the play.
Murloc aggro warlock deck was ridiculous this brawl. Tap and drop whole hand first turn and have 4-5 huge murlocs next turn, kill by turn 3. No one had any mass board clear.
Boba Fett Very good point, but Lightbomb can be painful, more recently it seems every priest is mulligan for it when they see Warlock, or Holy Nova if somehow you don't get buffs. How did Mage beat you?Early Flamestrike?I found some freeze mages but I went for Coldlight oracle right from the start. Their aoe spells were gone and their Antonidas was too slow.
As someone who has only been playing Hearthstone for about a month and a half, I wasn't a fan of this brawl. It was the first one that I felt really excluded from, because I don't possess the cards that most people were throwing around. None of the other brawls really felt that way, because they had some random element that evened the playing field, or preconstructed decks that did the same. And it felt really unfair, because it seems that new players like myself are the people who would benefit most from the free Classic pack per week, but we had to go through a whole bunch of people with much better cards who didn't need that classic pack anyway. It just felt like I got the short end of the stick on this one, you know?
ive been playing for about 3 months and have 5 legendaries(only one neutral) and ive really enjoyed it. I win over half of my games with a deck of cards that are only commons and rares. U dont need legendaries to win this, i killed every legendary my opponent would play in 1-2 turns. Very fun actually.
TheThreadWeaver People winning because they have better cards is going to be a thing anytime blizzard allows deck creation in tavern brawl. Suck it up and try again next week.
ElMaestro I'm fine with that if it was a hard-fought match. At least then I can say "my deckbuilding was effective, and they won because they have better cards." What's frustrating is that the reward for the Tavern Brawl is specifically the most useful to people who haven't been playing very long. But this week's arena was filled with people pulling off turn one or two combos that I couldn't stand up to because I couldn't do the same. It was literally a dozen matches of getting slammed turn one or two before I was matched with someone in the same boat as me. Very frustrating, and very different to my experience in the previous tavern brawls.
It feels good having a 140 IQ because I made a deck nobody else used and I went ham in this tavern brawl. It was beast huntard. You mulligan for a starving buzzard or stampeding kodo and then if you draw one you win because you just play either one and then vomit hand into a win every single game.
Having an IQ of 140 means nothing, stop being cocky, you are just asking for hate. And as for that deck too, the concept is by no means creative and several youtubers have also made hunter decks such as the one you have described. You aren't special, you may as well delete that comment.

Ozma1337 No it didn't, you still need a combo deck, you can't just fill it up with random low cost stuff. Guess what you need to do for all those cool cards kripp just used? "Pay2Win Tavern Brawl ^^"
Anlaggy Laggy FFS stop saying pay to win, atleast say grind to win or something, I have spent NO money on this game and I have 7 (non expansion) legendarys are all the expansion legendarys.. NOT PAY TO FUCKING WIN
Tech Not everyone has 5000 hours of game lol. But I don't think it's too much pay to win, if you play well arena will reward you, and new accounts make gold easily so it's balanced enough.
I loved this week's brawl. I played it a lot with lots of different decks. It's deeper and requires more strategy than I expected. It's true that some games are very RNG and over very fast, but for me that kinda added a fun appeal to the games. I also enjoyed playing with a lot of the legendaries I've collected that don't get to see much play time.
Here's the problem with this tavern brawl. Someone like you, Kripp, has all the cards. And if not all, nearly all. You've got tons of super strong legendary cards and can build your deck from anything in the game. Whereas someone like me who doesnt play as much and doesnt spend as much money cannot. I dont have Dr Booms, I dont have big game hunter, i dont have ragnaros, I dont have tons of those legendary cards that absolutely wreck. Plus, when you can end a match completely in 4 turns total like the first match you showed, only two of them being your own, it's a broken system. Sure there was a lot of luck in that, but not everyone has the cards you do and cant possibly hope to make a combo like that.
EZlats There is always a way to win with common/rare cards especially in this tavern brawl. The only unfair Tavern Brawl there has ever beeen was the banana one by far since you get 95% tempo mage as enemys and it really doesn't differ much from the ranked at that time.
Well I assume you also suck in ranked coz u don't have big game hunter and Dr boom, here is a tip get a job or grind for it, it's not the hardest thing, u can easily open 10-14 packs in a week, and even if u don't get legendary u get the dust to create a legendary
EZlats There are so many ways to play this brawl though. Even without legendaries. The other ways to play is by having a ton of draw and removal. Warlock for instance with Summoning Portal works. Then play stuff like Gnomish Inventor, Cult Master, and Azure Drake.
I had the best game of brawl. I go second, I get rag in starting hand. Opponent plays Gruul. I topdeck BGH, play bgh, coin Ragnaros. I greet the opponent. Opponent plays Onyxia. I play dread infernal. I greet opponent. Rag hits onyxia. I greet opponent. Opponent plays Sneed's. I kill sneed's with siphon soul. I greet opponent. Opponent gets Nat Pagle. I greet opponent. Opponent concede. I greet opponent.

What would you think of a tavern brawls with these rules: Start at 10 mana, and overloads (1) man per turn and unlocks after turn 7, Or Start at 10 mana and every card you play has an overload equals to its cost? I wonder how other classes function with the drawback of the Shamans overload.
I had a lot of success with Druid early in the week, and also later, when rush decks would often flounder against the taunts. Druid of the Claw+Druid of the Fang was a very difficult to deal with opener and a good stabilizer. Later on I ran Mage with a bit more removal and did a little better, unstable portal and secrets definitely helped there too.
When I first saw what this Tavern Brawl is about I was really hyped.. "man finally only control games, gonna have some fun". Then I matched in with my control druid.. "hello.. I bring life and death.. *Boom*". Matches last (for me atleast) like 2-3 turns, I have around 70% win rate but man.. that sucks actually. Lastly it also sucks when you have nice hand - Trade - "Minions, servants, soldiers of the cold dark, obey the call of Kel'Thuzad!" - concede. The only good thing about this is fact that you can do your quests really fast. This is actually first time when my control hunter works (for 2 turns..)
I've been playing Rogue and Priest like this since Thursday. I had to figure out a way to play since I don't have all the legendaries to spam. The Priest variant is really cool cause you get Mind Control and Death alongside combo cards with Auctioneer like Power Word: Shield, Inner Fire, and the like, and get the cool stuff like Mind Vision, Thoughtsteal, and Mind Games. Super fun.
I like the fact that you put a video every day. I usually come home late (I live in Europe) and watch your video in the evening. I never manage to catch you streams, that's the reason i meet you here. So, to the point... Just logged on to Trump's stream and it's boring AF. I can't even imagine how can you take so much fun out of the game (I mean Trump). Just feel like leaving you a comment, thanking you for being a human. Thanks.
Played about 60 games of this tavern brawl...decided to stop after I met 3 face hunters one after another (Different Guys). Sucked all the fun right out of the game.
I found that using a pally with a fuck ton of draw worked wonders. Humility and repentance worked well to keep you alive. Draw cards and minions like gnomish and hammer of wrath were extremely useful. On top of that you could buff cards with the blessings and even defender of argus.
I played warlock alot this week, it wasnt particularly strong, but you could do some crazy combos with leeroy, power overwhelming faceless, or stalagg feugan void terror, \all with the help of thaurissan, pretty ridiculous, when it worked.
Great brawl overall. Mage was fun against the hordes of stealy priests. Made a spell-heavy deck with Mana Wirm, Gadgetan, BGH and Doomsayers. Somehow Mindgames always placed Doomsayers on the board, and I killed a lot of priests.
I was smashing people with shaman in this tavern brawl. Priest and Rogue were sometimes more difficult but even then I won most of those too. Mixed it up with a number of shaman cards ran maybe 6 or 7 big cards.
This is one of my favorite brawls so far (I think it's tied for first place or a little bit behind the Summoner one). Of course, if you don't have a lot of cards, this is probably not for you, but the people complaining about rng are just salty. Unless you have an awful hand and the opponent has the perfect cards, it's always possible to come back, even from turn 1 Alexstrasza or anything like that
rogue and warlock are the best for this week. summoning portal, card draw ftw. auctioneer, corruptions, etc. power overwhelming silvanas, so many options. i have a really high rate of wins against priest starting first or second with both rogue and warlock. shadowstep lotheb destorys priest as well.
I personally really like this tavern brawl, i played innerfire combo priest with stealth cards, and some extra fun cards, like norzdormu to mess up my oppnenents
Having some fun with spelldamage/shaman. It's by no means a " always winning" deck and if you don't draw a reasonable cross section of spells and the spell damage cards you end up conceding on turn 2 or 3 BUT about 60-70% of the time you get 2-3 spell damage on the board on turn 1/2 to their 1 big creature, nuke it from space and then just pic your opponent off with spells. As I said, it's not one that wins every game but it's hella fun! :)
My strategy was reincarnate shaman. The best possible start in this brawl is kel thuzad plus reincarnate, and if the opponent can't deal with both of them imidiately, you pretty much just win. Also sylvanas + reincarnate is insane, and sneed is pretty fun too
I've been having insane luck/success with a dragon warlock, actually. It's mostly naxx/BRM cards, and I'm 40-13 with it. It's SUPER good against the Priests. The main idea I had was "I want to play two things per turn". Most other decks I've run into are one big thing, and maybe one little thing. Boom/Death is pretty good, but you have to have both of those in hand. I put mostly 5 drops in, so I was able to play most anything. Sludge belchers, blackwing corruptors, bomb lobbers, loatheb, and stormpike commandos are the game winners. The other side of the coin is bromaggus. The double draws he makes are insane. The game plan is to play more 5-drops than them every turn, until I'm safe to play bromaggus, then bromaggus/tap or novice engineer, and hope it stays alive for another turn. If it does, I've practically already won. The decklist is as follows: Mortal Coil x2 Soulfire x2 Darkbomb x2 Dran Life x2 Shadow Bolt x2 Novice Engineer x2 Gnomish Inventor x2 Azure Drake x2 Blackwing Corruptor x2 Bomb Lobber x2 Booty Bay Bodyguard x2 Loatheb Sludge Belcher x2 Stormpike Commando x2 Chromaggus Kel'Thuzad Nefarian The huge amount of direct damage spells, along with bomb lobber, blackwing corrupter, and stormpikebros, let me almost guarantee insane amounts of damage with any chromaggus double. The fact a huge amount of my cards' value is held in their battlecries also means mirror entity, mind control, thoughtsteal/mind vision, and faceless manip, are all middling to terrible. Kel'Thuzad just seems silly not to run in this format. If I've baited their facelesses, polys, and mind controls, playing him behind a belcher wins the game. If I have enough on board to kill my own KT, it's also a guaranteed Mind Control bait. Chromaggus is amazing to have in hand if you can mulligan for blackwings, and against classes with not-so-great removal. Shamans don't seem to run hex, and paladin's don't mulligan for equality consec. Going first against priest is the hardest matchup. You have to not be scared to not play stuff. Best game I played was this. I opened with Azure Drake, Tap, he played some minion I forget and power word shielded it. We then went 3 turns not playing another minion. I played a KT to bait his mind control, which it did, then double bomb lobbered, and won from there.
As a priest, my opponent played Nefarian. I killed it that turn. His following turn, he played Resurrect in addition to other stuff. I killed off Nefarian again. He played Resurrect again. I said fml and went baby rage. Never lucky.
I'm not the best Tavern Brawl player, but I immediately realized Miracle/Oil/Mill Rogue would destroy in this week's tavern brawl. I won 30 games, and probably lost about 8 games. Making any type of combo deck with draw is best. I even used the coldlight oracles like kripp did and the arcane golems because you aren't giving your opponent a mana crystal.
Hunter was very good. Deadly shot, freezing trap, king crush, hunters mark, misdirection. Freezing+Misdirection very effective against big minions and Rogue's buffed minions.
not saying its OP, i just don't like the miracle playstyle, this brawl made those decks very strong again so if you didn't like them, you won't like seeing them again in this brawl
This was the if you have enough of the really good legendaries or get really good rng you win tavern brawl. Not to say it always came down to legendaries but it often does, occasionally you'll see a match where a frost mage got all the spells they need to end you in two turns. Priest and mage were the only two classes i was able to find sucess with in this brawl. Priest being the best for me since i mostly have the free expansion legendaries and can make up for that by stealing them from my opponent. I didn't think that i was much fun and sort of seemed like a pay 2 win mode.
nice vid kripp i played wed evening and thur's didnt play on fri or today much at 50 win's so far, shadow word and mind control cos so much rage quit's it's my fav brawl so far just way too funny, i done a reddit post 3 week's ago saying why not have a brawl that start's at 10 mana :P
I did play priest. I did not just run all the fat. Had shredders, sun walkers, sludge belchers, cultists, and went for the combo of Velen & Malygos, either of which make mind blast and holy fire do 10, for the random burst
my miracle rogue deck was really consistent won most of the time in the third round sometimes even in the second played a little bit around with mana addict :)
I had a great game on Shaman. Went first versus Druid. Turn 1 Nefarian draws Innervate. Turn 2 play Alexstrasza, Innervate, Windfury on Nef, win. Skillstone boys.
That reincarnate on the totem to position next to the other totem just blew my mind

I never manage to catch you streams, that's the reason i meet you here. So, to the point... Just logged on to Trump's stream and it's boring AF. I can't even imagine how can you take so much fun out of the game (I mean Trump). Just feel like leaving you a comment, thanking you for being a human. Thanks.
i had quite some fun with mill rogue in this tavern brawl
Played about 60 games of this tavern brawl...decided to stop after I met 3 face hunters one after another (Different Guys). Sucked all the fun right out of the game.
Where is kripp from?
I found that using a pally with a fuck ton of draw worked wonders. Humility and repentance worked well to keep you alive. Draw cards and minions like gnomish and hammer of wrath were extremely useful. On top of that you could buff cards with the blessings and even defender of argus.
I thought that was the best tavern brawl EVER!!
That play at the end was so god damn dirty
I played warlock alot this week, it wasnt particularly strong, but you could do some crazy combos with leeroy, power overwhelming faceless, or stalagg feugan void terror, \all with the help of thaurissan, pretty ridiculous, when it worked.
Great brawl overall. Mage was fun against the hordes of stealy priests. Made a spell-heavy deck with Mana Wirm, Gadgetan, BGH and Doomsayers. Somehow Mindgames always placed Doomsayers on the board, and I killed a lot of priests.
underrated title name.
Unless you have an awful hand and the opponent has the perfect cards, it's always possible to come back, even from turn 1 Alexstrasza or anything like that
I fucking loved this tavern brawl, one of my favorites so far
I've got some pretty good results with the Kel'Thuzad + Reincarnate combo.
Tavern Brawl is making wonders to Hearthstone casual.
Kripp smashed that Tavern Brawl
rogue and warlock are the best for this week. summoning portal, card draw ftw. auctioneer, corruptions, etc. power overwhelming silvanas, so many options. i have a really high rate of wins against priest starting first or second with both rogue and warlock. shadowstep lotheb destorys priest as well.
I had good times with a hunter, freezing on a 9-10 cost is fun, deadly or mark+explosive to counter mindcontrol or just clear
Also sylvanas + reincarnate is insane, and sneed is pretty fun too
Aww no decklist?
The decklist is as follows:
Mortal Coil x2
Soulfire x2
Darkbomb x2
Dran Life x2
Shadow Bolt x2
Novice Engineer x2
Gnomish Inventor x2
Azure Drake x2
Blackwing Corruptor x2
Bomb Lobber x2
Booty Bay Bodyguard x2
Loatheb
Sludge Belcher x2
Stormpike Commando x2
Chromaggus
Kel'Thuzad
Nefarian
The huge amount of direct damage spells, along with bomb lobber, blackwing corrupter, and stormpikebros, let me almost guarantee insane amounts of damage with any chromaggus double.
I played a KT to bait his mind control, which it did, then double bomb lobbered, and won from there.
aww, missed the attack with the taunt totem at the end for maximum bm
I did pretty well with Shaman, and others did as well
As a priest, my opponent played Nefarian. I killed it that turn. His following turn, he played Resurrect in addition to other stuff. I killed off Nefarian again. He played Resurrect again. I said fml and went baby rage. Never lucky.
back in the days u did this in constructed
also warlock with only 4 and 6 drops and summoning portal is pretty insane too, you either go 6-4 or tap-4-4
Did anyone else notice that both players had coin in that rogue match? 11:47
6:24 to skipperino kripperino takerino about brawlerino
My idea - any class can use any cards from any other classes, it would be broken as hell, but would be a lot of fun.
"everyone's got the best deals anywhere now"
Mana Addict in rogue is actually insane, should try it
Hunter was very good.
Deadly shot, freezing trap, king crush, hunters mark, misdirection. Freezing+Misdirection very effective against big minions and Rogue's buffed minions.
your opinion of this tavern brawl depends entirely on your opinion of miracle rogue: so i pretty much hate it.
BabyConan41 being able to open w/ sludge belchers or sunwalkers then follow up with KT or other heals, crush rogue.
BabyConan41 Way overrated. Destroyed them with my Mage deck.
Draxus Then he simply saps the belcher/sunwalker and proceeds anyway?
not saying its OP, i just don't like the miracle playstyle, this brawl made those decks very strong again so if you didn't like them, you won't like seeing them again in this brawl
Tabartank legitski two mana used up on a sap still slows them. It's not like it's possible to do 30 dmg in 1 round.
i played combo shaman. it worked decently well.
Yep reincarnate KT turn 1 GG
Dartanian90 played him too and won the 1st 5 games in a row .... nd all my opp were priests :D
Dirk Harder got to 64 wins with reincarnation shaman. was great
Got 56 wins with reincarnation sham
erik leaf exactly what I was thinking
damn that last play
This was the if you have enough of the really good legendaries or get really good rng you win tavern brawl. Not to say it always came down to legendaries but it often does, occasionally you'll see a match where a frost mage got all the spells they need to end you in two turns. Priest and mage were the only two classes i was able to find sucess with in this brawl. Priest being the best for me since i mostly have the free expansion legendaries and can make up for that by stealing them from my opponent. I didn't think that i was much fun and sort of seemed like a pay 2 win mode.
I so wish I had Malygos in this TB :( Would love to try play Mage or Rouge with Maly...
I played reincarnate Shaman on this weeks Tavern Brawl, it was good fun.
FullCircleStories That was my first plan too, but i settled with dragon paladin instead.
that last game whas really cool! :)
i was playing mill rouge, with these slow priests it was amazing
Great video this week
Mill decks are super fun as always.
BEST TAVERN BRAWL YET!!!!!!
A tavern brawl that Krip likes no way D:::
nice vid kripp i played wed evening and thur's didnt play on fri or today much at 50 win's so far, shadow word and mind control cos so much rage quit's it's my fav brawl so far just way too funny, i done a reddit post 3 week's ago saying why not have a brawl that start's at 10 mana :P
Mages...
T1 Pyro
T2 Pyro
T3 fireball fireball GG WP
steve vansteenbrugge 3 turn + rng meh
I used a hobgoblin deck! It did really well.
Shamandeck with charge and Windfury, too much fun. Usually ends the game between turn 2-4
I was totally dominating with a druid deck featuring gadgetzan
That last game with shaman. HOLY SHIET. *_*
was?? the brawl is still here
