Nurse: Good morning Teresa ,I am Teena one of the registered nurses working in this emergency department and I will be taking care of you today.
Teresa ,how you are feeling now?
Teresa : Yes, I'm fine nurse. But I'm worried about this drip. Why are you transfusing this drip to me ?
I am afraid that it may harm me .
Nurse :I'm happy to hear that you are fine. I can feel your concerns regarding this drip .You don’t need to worry about this drip, it is fluid added with potassium to correct your electrolytes imbalance and thus your heart rate will come to normal rate.
Patient : Thank you nurse, good to hear that and I wish to continue the fluid if it is going to benefit me
Nurse:Teresa,could you briefly explain about ,what you know about your condition?
Patient :Nurse, Today morning my heart started beating fast and I felt some discomfort that why I am here . I don't know what happened to me.

Nurse: increased heart rate occurs due to many causes. Your condition is due to low potassium level in your blood and it is therefore ,we started this potassium drip to correct your potassium level in the blood and it will help to stabilize your heart rate .
