Hey Richard, I am stuck in quarantine in a hotel room in Singapore and was browsing practice mutes. Came across your vdo here. After a small and annoying delay (I think they were forging my Mute in the fires of Modor) it arrived today. I wanted to thank you - it is great. I have been playing so softly it just gets frustrating - the mute works. Well balanced and i can play with correct technique and string contact. Looks sweet in Onyx matt black. Not cheap though....115 plus 25 express shipment. But I agree - good quality and very effective.
I am so tempted to get a WMute, thanks to you. We live in an apartment and practicing is limited to 8 am to 8 pm but if it is soft enough for the neighbors not to hear, it would be no problem. And it is certainly less expensive than purchasing a practice cello which would be softer in volume than my regular instrument. This may increase my hours to be able to practice. Sadly, we also need something similar for my husband for the flute and I doubt it exists. Thank you so much.
w mutes sounded much better and more like a natural cello compared to the artino. to my ear the artino sounded actually quieter than the w but the quality of your instrument was eaten up by its baffling. thanks for the comparison.

I meant to add...to Michael's comment below....I was thinking its a 100 Euros or 2500 Euros for a ''silent''cello! Easy choice.
I have a set of wmutes for my violin and I love it. One of the best purchases I ever made.

Pretty amazing sound. Might get one myself
Considering the price of a decent cello whats another 100 euros for something that will last as long as the cello. Good strings cost way more.
Richard, you are so cute! Thanks 😊 for the video. I'll get me a W Mute for cello one of these days.
would someone be kind enough to let me know what is the name of the piece played at the very beginning of the video? many thanks!
great video! will definitely be saving up for one
Ok- I want it. (But ugh- that price, lol.) Thanks for the vid.
Is it just me not gettinh it? It's called mute, but the instrument remains quite loud to me.
Great video! I live in the states and want to buy the WMute but any idea where to buy it??
Great video! Quick question, what kind of mic setup do you use to make your recordings?
Sorry Richard, Can you make a video on the best equipment to realize a music video on youtube?
Which cameras do you use?
Thanks for the great video Richard! May I ask what type of camera you use? Best wishes!
❤❤❤❤❤❤
Definitely the W mute.
