In all source material it clearly states anakin is more powerful overall than obiwan during the l fight on mustifar but anakins arrogance put himself in a bad position and obi wan took advantage. Anakin lost because of himself. He was winning the battle until then keeping obiwan on the back foot the whole time and winning the war of attrition though their powers were similar anakin was winning until the high ground situation.
@Lane Ritter plus dont know if it was retconned but anakin on mustafar hadn't eaten or slept in days which would only put him in a worse position than obi wan. And he was conflicted the entire time so much that his eyes switched from yellow back to normal several times. If the fresh anakin that raided the jedi temple fought obi-wan then that battle would have gone to anakin mid-diff at most.
So? If that's your point, why do we even consider their intellectual ability? Arrogance is Anakin's personality and ROTS Obi Wan is definitely superior to Knightfall Vader overall
