Ford gave us the wrong fuel tank?! | 2017 F350 SuperDuty TSB 17-0046 | Family of 6 RV Travel!

[Uploaded February 2022] Back in March of 2021 we were going to upgrade our fuel tank but found out we had to first get the correct sending unit card installed. We also found out Ford installed the wrong tank in our truck from day one! We had a 29 gallon instead of a 34 gallon! Ford covered all work and we got our bigger tank without any hassle. Check your vehicle for these types of things, you never know what you may be owed. I would have never known if it weren’t for my research looking for a new tank. No wonder why the truck burned through a tank of fuel so fast!
The specific TSB (Tech Service Bulletin) is TSB 17-0046. Anyone with a 2017 SuperDuty truck built before April 2017 more than likely has the wrong tank and/or sending unit card! Check it out: static.oemdtc....
Update: We traded in this truck for a new F450 in October 2021 that we ordered to pull our new fifth wheel.
