They definitely should not have broken in that manner. Hope you get them fixed soon man. Just goes to show that anything can happen at any time.... Even with beefed up components. Watch, you'll get through the Rubicon with zero issues.
Looks like it was a nice day out there before that happened. I'm sure they will take care of you, and probably want that part back so they can investigate further.
It overextended under load that's how the ball was able to exit the cage out the front and not break the housing. Info on the lift would be good to include. I assume 4"+ to clear the 38" tires. Now droop a bit and the cv shift is way past working angle.
@@crowntransit1550 the coilovers are set to 3” over Sasquatch, which is the standard most aftermarket coilovers for the Bronco go to. RCV advertises their axles of being capable of greater angles than stock. The 2” body lift helps allow for 38s (as well as 0mm offset) and doesn’t affect the CV angles. I’ve been using the stock axle in its place since this on many trails (including the Rubicon) without any issues.
Those seem to have alot of issues. A friend of mine upgraded to those a couple of years ago. They were causing issues with just driving around town. There seems to be something off with their design. He ended up going back to stock.
I’d put money on RCV warrantying them (as they should)… if they don’t, I’ll back up my bet with a $10 SuperThanks!
